It sounds more like a synonym of a pre-existing ride at the park. Wicked~Mean, Twister~Streak. At least it wasn't called Wicked Streak or Mean Twister. There's already one too many streaks in the park and trying to stick anything else to the word twister just sounds bad. I do think that substituting funnel for twister would have been better. Psychlone is overused, so that's not a possibility. Ironic however that the ride actually dedicates homage to the local region though, as do most all the coaster rides. None of them have names of things that aren't part of the area's history or natural setting. (i.e., we have hawks (raptors), manti, copper mines (mine rides), barn cats (wild cats), we surely celebrated the year two-thousand as did everyone else (MF) and so on.) The twister is a truly frightening storm that occurs in this region and is debatably the most destructive. So, it may be a bit cliché by now, it still hits home. The thing is that Cedar Point has no cookie-cutter theme, so finding a name that would represent the park is close to impossible. I'm glad they didn't go the way of pop culture and be cute by trying to call it CP15. So of course as stated before, not the best, but not the worst.
