what will be the new Coaster for 2002?

I keep seeing all these different speculations and I still would like to know when the announcement will be for what CP is getting for 2002,anyone know?
-----------------
for that, you will have to wait. no one person that I know is going to squeal... the best thing to do is suffer from coaster withdraw syndrome and wait it out :(
Umm...........check out the +1000 thread! It is excactly the same.  Maybe someone knows when the announcement is and what the ride is, but we will learn soon enough.

It's not so much that no-one wants to tell as it is that there's not a date. It keeps getting pushed back.

w  h  y ??? we all want to know.

it's a proven fact. :)

don't you think CP has made us wait long enough?

i heard some mlaryk about the pushed back release date being because of season pass sales. is cedar point reverting to scare tactics to see if we are really that interested?

if cedar point wants me to shell out X amount of dollars for a season ticket, then I for sure want to know what i have in store for me for 2002. does anyone else agree???

that's like saying, sure i'll pick out a new girlfriend... blindfolded (bad example, i know) but it's true.

CP ROCKS!!!!

Today's Headlines:

-183 Killed In Bomb Explosion in Afghanistan
-3 more postal employees diagnosed with Anthrax
-Fed announces more cuts due to struggling stock market
-Attacks planned on Californian Bridges
-Crazed mad man attempts hostile take-over of plane
-Cedar Point announces their 2002 ride.

Doesn't quite fit in huh? Just calm down, right now is not the greatest time to get attention. No-one would really care, the announcement would just get drowned out by some terrorist attack.

...you forgot about the plane crash in Queens, NYC killing over 250 people...
CP_bound, unless they can travel a few hours into time, I would doubt that the crash would've been in the paper. Tomorrow, however, is another day.

Ummm...I think just because there's nothing but bad news lately, doesn't mean the media has to keep with that theme.  Maybe what people need more at a time like this is something like the Cedar Point announcement.
Tomorrow never dies.

It seems to be universal. There hasn't been any concrete announcements in the last month that I know of (in the USA). Point is, it's not just CP. For example, SFOG has track pieces on site for a new coaster, but nothing has been announced. So maybe the industry is just waiting for a better time.
