what to ride

I have never been a huge fan of coasters, but I was at the Point on opening day and got on Raptor. I loved it and was wondering what to go on next. I would like to go on MF, but I want to work my way up. What would you suggest going on first?

Gemini, Magnum, Mantis would all be good starting points I think.
The usual order I suggest to coaster newbies so they can work their way up through all the coasters is: Mine Ride, Disaster Transport, Iron Dragon, Blue Streak, Gemini, Corkscrew, Magnum, Raptor, MF. You could throw Mantis, Wildcat, or Mean Streak somewhere in that order (but don't take a coaster newbie on Wildcat first, it's more intense than it looks!)
You forgot Jr. Gemini (little kids only) & Woodstock Express (anyone). I'd place Wildcat before Gemini, but I'm sure some people have different opinions. Mantis is right after Raptor, and Raptor is before Magnum (In my book). I really wouldn't attempt to place Mean Streak in the mix, because you have a remote chance of having a good ride. My one and only experience on it was bad, but hey, it might change! ;) I'd also put Power Tower (up fast then up slow) for the person afraid of heights before MF.
I always thought that Raptor was more intimidating than Magnum, but I am learning that more people are afraid of the latter.

They call me cowboy- I'm the rider in black...
Now bob, I am scared to death of heights, I don't really like Power Tower, but I love MF! When I was there last, I rode PT, but didn't really enjoy it at all. I stared at the opposite tower the whole time. But MF, I was looking around, hanging out of the car, having a good old time. I'm just saying that for someone who is afraid of heights, they may not like PT at all. The order listed there is great, though, for coaster newbies!

I didn't put Jr. Gemini or Woodstock in because people I know consider them "kiddie" coasters that they are too old to ride (even if woodstock is everyone) and are embarassed to ride them without a kid. Most people I know consider Raptor to be more scary because it has inversions and Magnum doesn't.
