What I like to do when Cedar Point is crowded is go over to the Breakers, Soak City, or hang around at some of the shows at the Point. Whats everyone else like to do?

Whats life if you never get to the point?
I personally still wait in lines for major rides. If the lines seem extremely long though, I'll usually try to hop on Gemini. If the line for Gemini is long, I'll usually just put up with the long waits for Mf or Raptor, for example, and get in line.

I really dislike long lines. But I like Cornbread, try to hop on Gemini for a while, just to wait as the lines go down. But, if lines for Gemini are long...I go to plan B...I get food!!!!:)

Phoenix-A great town and a great coaster
phoenixphan, I take it you were there last season the first few days that they tried to run three trains with the new computer.....

I like to sit at Soak City's Bubbles Bar and drink.
I call these days "time out" days. My favorite thing to do besides just walking around the park is to take pictures w/my 35MM and my telephoto lens. When the park is packed you get the BEST on ride pics of peoples faces when they ride.

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
Recently, my favorite "getaway" spot has been the patio at TGIFriday's at the Breakers.
For about the same price as a monthly car payment, you and a guest can enjoy a couple of adult beverages in a very relaxed atmosphere practically on the beach.

When the park is crowded, I usualy just ride the rides anyways. I look on the bright side...I'm at CP! Also I pick up some food, check out some shows. I realy don't mind long lines though.

Live for FUN!
GO SHAMROCKS!
GO WOLVERINES!
I will wait for the biggies, but I will not wait 45 minutes for say, Iron Dragon or Wildcat or Corkscrew.
Usually, no matter how busy the park gets, Gemini has ALWAYS remained a walk on, so I usually will just hop on Gemini for an hour or two.

Seriously, after going 35, 40 times last year (usually not for the whole day), I ran into some extremely long lines. So what do I do? I try to find obscure places that you'd normally pass by. For instance, I might go to every souvnier shop, and find the most unique item (although many shops have the same items). Or, I might have a french fry taste test (Mr. Potato has the best fries). (The stand across from the "Cedar Point Aquatic Stadium"). Then another day I might see how long it takes me to walk around the entire park. Do I have a life? Not really, at least when it's Cedar Point season. :) It is very fun to find the coolest view of different coasters. And next year it will be fun trying to break into the "new" boneyard. There will always be plenty of things to do! BTW: Gemini is not ALWAYS a walk on. I have seen upwards of 30 minutes last year. But, it is usually 5-10 minutes to the station.
Every time I have visited the Point, Gemini has been a walkon, except one, where they only had blue open, two trains, and only three cars per train loading.
