I'm still not sure weather to hit up CP today(Tuesday) or Wed. I was looking at the weather and it said that the wind speed will be around 20-30mph for today. I am a little worried that TTD will not be open or very little today. Any opinions?
Go Tuesday AND Wednesday like me :-D
Seriously though, I'm betting TTD will be down most of the day Tuesday. You might be able to sneak a ride on in the morning though before the storms push heavier winds in. I'm counting on riding most rides under 420 ft.

As a Dragster fan I can tell ya both days are going to be pretty chancy. With high winds tomorrow....er....today, and moderate winds on Wednesday, there's a good chance it could close down for both days.
Your best bet is Wednesday however.

I guess that was a good thing about working at the park... Your chances of riding dragster were high if you went every time you had a day off. Its a bummer when you really like a ride and you have to plan your trip based on the conditions that could shut that fav ride down. I say aim for the day that has the least of the winds.

Are you guys seriously up that late on this site? Maybe the clock on Pointbuzz needs to be set. Or not.

Combine high winds with the fact that it was down all afternoon on Monday and I'd bet that it will be touch and go today. I'd try Wednesday. Of course, it was down while I was there and somehow...I still managed to have some fun. ;)
Hate to be the kill joy here, but I'm kind of hoping it will be closed for the next couple of days. That gives it less of a chance to break down before I go there this Sunday thru Tuesday :).
^^^^Headache, couldnt sleep.:P
^Being closed a for a few days on account of weather will not ensure it's operation when you go.;)

That's for sure... I'm curious what caused all the downtime yesterday afternoon. Did anyone see where maintenance was working? If anywhere at all?
PS - Adam, did you get my text message? ;)

Maverick isn't down, it just hasn't opened yet.

Park open + ride not open = ride down.
Just because the ride hasn't opened doesn't mean that its not losing operating days.

So does it already have an entire season of "downtime" because it was there last year too? :) As far as I'm concerned, the ride is still "under construction".
When TTD was up and running on Monday, it was running very well. The crew was actually doing an outstanding job.
Block issues seemed like that was the issue in the middle of the day. When it reopened the launch sounds were off and the trains weren't moving like normal. I'm guessing they were running in some kind of manual mode. There were a couple of times that only one train would come forward to load and not the other. Every other pair of trains needed a block/launch reset. No rollbacks though.

No, it wasn't expected to be open last season.
Its just got 3 almost 4 days of downtime so far this season and Dragster was getting jealous.

Incorrect sir! I got my first rollback yesterday after they reopened in the evening on the gold train! It was around 630 and we saw that it had just reopened so my friend and I ran there and got up to the station. A couple of train in front of us rolled back so we figured our chances were shot. We were wrong. It was a good time! It ran more than I thought it would today. It was going a bit in the morning, closed, ran a bit in the afternoon, closed, then when we left the park around 4 it was open again.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
