Is an 18 year-old Miller Brewing Co. share holder entitled to get free beer or drink it at all? I think not.
Owning stock in a company is something you do as an investment, not so you can tell the CEO how to run the company. I have five digits worth of various stocks, mutual funds and other investments. I don't get any special treatment for any of them. Heck, some of them are sold again before I even get the paperwork. I know a few things about trading, so don't go there.
And it goes back to what I said in the first place: Their policy is what it is, and exists probably because lawyers said they could not sell rooms that might harbor illegal activity (i.e., underage consumption). If they did, they could be held responsible in the same way a friend could be responsible for purchasing alcohol for you. That's simple case law; the precedent has already been set.
And as a side note, the insurance companies will likely charge a higher premium because people under 21 are more likely to vandalize. It's not fair, but it is statistically factual.
And finally, they book nearly 100% of their rooms throughout the season, so they can pretty much pick and choose who they offer rooms.
