What ride would you like to see make a comeback to the point?

Dumb question but ever since I joined I have been asking myself what the pirate ride was. What is it? I know it is in that building by Blue Streak.

It was a pirate-themed dark ride, and it was awesome. Especially the ship out front. :)

Was it actually a dark ride like Ghostwood Estate, Dark Knight, or the Scooby Doo ones? Or was it a walk through type thing?

It was a dark RIDE. Not a walk thrue. I have the entire ride on tape somewhere.....now if I could only find it.

I think there are 2 esential ride types missing from the park....A dark ride, and a log flume.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

And get this... you didn't shoot anything or keep score while riding it. Crazy, eh?

WTF? Why would people ride it, then? What would they do, just look at the stuff as they went by?

The Jumbo Jet and the upside down funhouse

The Pirate Ride all the Way. I never understood why they took it out and made that midway a ghost town. Close second would be the double ferris wheel that stood where the midway carousel is located now.

Any of these old favorites: Bayern Kurve, Upside-Down Fun House, Jumbo Jet, San Francisco EarthQuake, Sky Slide, Sky Wheel, Mill Race, or Shoot-the-Rapids (which was replaced by WWL).

What about Cedar Point Cinema too? It was nice to freeze in the A/C and catch some IMAX.

Just say no to trims

I would loooove if the imax came back.

Then go to Cleveland's great lakes science center, thay have a HUGE Imax screen that shows so many cool movies/science shows! :)

^Yea, but it was nice going into the IMAX during the afternoon because it was air conditioned and take a nap. When working there, I did this often back in the early 80s.

GLSC has an Omnimax theater. Not the same thing.

Yes, bring back the Cinema. I must have watched "To Fly" on that huge screen a dozen times.

I liked in the pirate ride, when the pirate head seperated from its body from being hanged. Or do i remember falsely?

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

Matt - you remember correctly. There was such a scene toward the end of the ride. His neck gets stretched long, then separates from his torso. A little on the violent side for today's sensabilities. If the ride was ever brought back, odds are that scene would be modified. Nowadays, the scene would be changed to us seeing him sitting in an encounter group discussing why he feels compelled to be a pirate.

How about the Cyclone that ride looked like fun.

And then to be further politically correct, they would modify a scene so that one of the pirates was no longer chasing a girl, but rather the plate of food she was carrying.

Oh, wait, wrong pirate ride. ;)
