Hi there, has anyone seen this commercial yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O0km1j14As
What ride is the roller coaster they show at the end? It's not Jr Gemini because the track is green, and the Woodstock Express looks like a train. I'm perplexed...
Also, where is that wooden suspension bridge located? (:22 seconds into the video)
Thanks in advance!
It's Timberline Twister at Knott's Berry Farms.http://rcdb.com/293.htm?p=6316

Not sure. But they use a lot of different rides/atmospheres that are not at the park being advertised. In the commercial where the older brother comes home from the armed forces, they show 2 or 3 rides that are at other Cedar Fair parks.
It happens a lot, especially when you deal with corporations, you wind up seeing what amounts to stock publicity shots. I frequently noticed the Paramount parks featuring the same ride in promotional material from park to park, too.
I'm the oldest one here. CP emp '73-'74
I understand the reason for it but it's still pretty lame. You would think they could do a little editing for different markets, especially since it says Cedar Point all over the commercial and doesn't show rides from their park. I'm assuming it's a cost issue but doesn't bode well for ride and brand recognition.
But is the general public really going to notice?...or care?
Paramount did this and Six Flags has been doing this for years. Most Six Flags commercials include one or two shots of the park its talking about but all on ride, character and general park shots are stock from other parks.
Lets me honest here, enthusiasts are really the only people that are going to recognize this. And even then, who cares? Why would you want the company to waste more money or individual commercials (which are not cheap) when they could spend that money on better things?
Six Flags can do that because all their parks look the same...crappy...
Most of the rides at Six Flag parks are the same theme, color, or even exact ride.

You are right with that. But the rest of what I said still stands.
My guess is that they shot it in California since that is where most of the 'personnel' for shooting commercials and such is.
I sure cant wait for the production studios to open by my house. Maybe it'll help in someway being closer to CF head quarters. That way they can actually make CP dedicated commercials.:)
It's still a ways away of course from opening (hasn't even began being constructed) but whatever.
