Sorry if this is a stupid question but I was browsing some photos and I was wondering what this thing was. I've seen it before from a distance but never knew what it was for. Is it for water or is it even for the park?

Yes, that's the Sandusky coal docks. They are a few miles across the bay from Cedar Point.

Great perch fishing just off of the coal docks. When I was young, my friends mother worked at the docks in the office, and would take us there on Saturdays a in the summertime. We would literally catch hundreds of perch right off the end.

I always use those as reference on the Edison Bridge to pinpoint CP. Or used to. It's much easier to find CP from the bridge now that there is that big red and yellow thing sticking up
