What Is The Best Ride Order For Early Entry?

What is the best order to ride for the early entry?

We will be there the last week of August and have not experienced Maverick yet. Is it the right idea to rush to Maverick first thing then perhaps do Millenium Force next or will we run out of time before the public show up?

This is my 6th time going to the point since 1976 and since we are new to the Early Entry idea any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

If you are staying at BE or CB make sure you park in the soak city lot if you are doing Maverick that way you get Maverick done with less than a half hour wait.

Other wise Its your choice.

Thanks for the info StrataCoasters. Just to add that we are staying in the Breakers Tower section so we will probably entering by Magnum.

Is is quicker to enter by WT if we are heading to Maverick or MF first? Anyone?

Well, WT is rather far from Maverick especially. WT is more toward the front/main entrance, whilst Maverick is toward the back in the Frontier Town section.

MF is definitely to WT than Maverick is.

If you could get there early enough (as in before the time they let in ERT people), then entering through the Soak City entrance would get you to Maverick much quicker, from what I gather.

Soak City is the way to go if you want to do anything near the back of the park. i.e. Maverick. Though I should note that Maverick certainly seems to be the furthest ride from any entrance...which can seem frustrating, but remember, you'll still beat all the ERT people from the front and you'll have a much shorter wait for whatever you choose than the people coming in the general public at ten. Enjoy!

My routine for early entry usually starts with 1 to 3 rides on Raptor, 1 to 3 rides on Millennium Force, and if theres time left (which sometimes there is) I'd go to Maverick to get in line before the general public rush comes in. If I still got 15 minutes left and am already in Fronteir Town, I'll stop by Skyhawk for a quickie, before I get in line for Maverick.

^I'll second that strategy, especially if you want to ride all four ERT rides.

If you ride Maverick first, you'll have time for Skyhawk, but Millennium and Raptor will have big lines by the time you get to them.

Last time I did ERT, I entered at the WT entrance, headed to Millennium, where I waited about 15 minutes, then did a walk-on on Skyhawk, and waited about 45 minutes for Maverick.

Well, in late July, the line for Maverick was at least 30 minutes within 20 minutes of EE. We got there early and waited only about 10 minutes for the front. Skyhawk was a complete walk on and MF had an hour long line by 9:45.

If you are at the Magnum Gate, walking to Maverick is enough to have only a 15-20 min wait for Maverick, and you can high tail it down the Trail (cursing that the train isnt open yet) to MF and have a 20-30 min wait which should give you just enough time to head over to TTD for the official opening.

If you are staying at a Cedar Point resort or have Joe Cool Club memebership and can get into the park early....

1. Park by Soak City and go to the Magnum entrance. Get their EARLY.
2. RUN to Maverick.
3. Go to MF.
4. head over to TTD and you should be their right around when it opens at 10. Get off TTD at 10:30..and have the 3 biggest rides out of the way done in under an hour and 1/2.
5. While everyone else is on the bigger rides head to Mantis.
6. Then Mean Streak.
7. Then Magnum.

So Raptor is the only ride you really have to wait in line long for. Try going their in the afternoon when the line is around 30-45mins. If you can go on the sky-ride and look to see how many switch backs they have open. A lot of times they say it's an hour wait but they don't have the switch backs open (in the afternoon) and it's only about a 30 min wait, including the wait for the front seat.

Anyone hear heard the legend of the skyhawk entrance?

But know it seems like everyone has told you the good techniques.
