Has anyone else noticed the brown fence around where the wild cat used to be. When I went to cp at the end of June I thought the road was on the other side of the fence but some exploring on google maps told me other wise. So I went on google maps yesterday (and these images are from the summer of 2012 because it has the dinasaurs alive in the park) and it looked like something was being built there. And it couldn't be for luminosity because the shows were already running when I went there. So was the tearing down the wildcat to make more room for luminosity fake so they could build something there and us not expect it? Could this be a new location for the observation tower since so many fans don't want to see it go, or could it be a new rumored mouse ride and have cp build TWO new coasters in one year, or is it just nothing?

Not unless they tear down those housing units. ;D I really think it could end up being something if they get rid of the houses, they could keep the fence there and just make an entry to the ride further down the midway.
As for next year it will be nothing. However it is possible soon down the line another coaster could be put there to bring up the coaster count. Something compact like an Intamin Zac Spin could possibly fit there.

Yeah those are where emloyees stay and I thought I heard something about those getting relocated but they wouldn't fit anywhere else really.

I can assure you Cedar Point has no interest adding a coaster just to "up the coaster count".
Promoter of fog.
I know you wouldn't be able to fit a flyer or a dive coaster there but I would like to see those.

From what I hear Dive coasters don't have any good features except one good drop. Maybe someone who's ridden one can chime in?
^Not enough room.
^^Dive coasters are fun but I don't think CP needs one. I'd like to see a wing coaster over a dive.......oh wait. :)

Yes I understand that. They would have never removed Wildcat and now Disaster Transport if all they wanted was the most coasters like Six Flags Magic Mountain wants. However Cedar Point did pride themselves on having the most when they did. They could be removing Wildcat to replace it with a quality, confined coaster.

I don't know Vette shiekra was just in the top four for the best g force coasters.

Shiekra is a one trick pony, but that one trick is really outstanding. The rest of the ride is smooth as you would expect from a B&M. Now if you could add on some serious elements after that one trick...then you have something that would be pretty special.
I think the point of removeing Wildcat was to put nothing back there. The pictures your looking at on Google Earth are just after opening day. my understand now it that there are bleachers there. There are many many rides and attractions that could be fit in there, but its not going to happen!

There are indeed bleachers there, as well as light fixtures all over the place, some where Wildcat once stood. It looked like there is still space behind the bleachers before the road, but not enough for anything really. I think it's safe to say that the area is completely for luminosity for now. That show and that layout was never going to work with Wildcat there, it was going to be insanely crowded. The same would be true if they were to put even a flat ride there, let alone a coaster.
