What if YOU'RE the CEO?!

Don't worry I have no rumor of a new owner, but in imagination, Dick Kinzel just retired and you just became the new ceo of Cedar Point! What would you do over the next 4 years starting in 2002? I'd start in 2002 by adding some more mist fans to the Power Tower queues, and regenerating the Special effects in Maggie's tunnels. Maybe even a couple donut stalls on the main midway. In 2003 I would construct a medium sized sit down restaurant in Challenge park in the parking lot (Verticord Cafe) and a record breaking slide at soak city, going for height, legnth, and speed. In 2004 I would probably bring a few carnival flat rides into the park, preferably HUSS (favorite) Maybe construct a Troika 2 right next to 1 to give the sensation of collision. In 2005 I would construct a dueling, racing, launced, B&M floorless that spans the ENTIRE park! What would you guys do???

I woild buy about 60 acres of land acroos the causeway and put the parking lot there. Then you have a bigger park. I would also make the marina more secure and have only people in the marina able to use the Marina Gate (I am a boater). I would also make it more of a family park, like Disney. But still keep the record breaking coasters. I almost forgot all the Huss rides! How stupid of myself.

Gee I dont know if we should go here.... Last time I made a statement about what I thought the park did wrong or what they could improve on...I got this statement............."Seriously, when did we get so many economists and operations specialists here?"....... :) But I do like your ideas PowerTower! Dont forget to add a master blaster water ride! And your right on the Huss rides...I have rode so many new ones this past year and there are some awesome rides out there! Nice ideas PowerTower...A+ !! :)

Two exceptions? Louie's and McDonald's or are you referring to something else?

They don't own Louie's, McDonalds, and the Fire Department Station. They have given offers to Louie in the past, though.

If I was CEO of Cedar Fair, I would buy a less inhabited Island in Lake Erie and make a ferry between the park and the island. Expand the park into half the parking lot and buy out the houses on the side. Make the part of the lot that remains "Season Pass only parking". The rest would be immediatly off the other side of the causeway, with shuttles in. Build new "VP houses" for the displaced resident's of the houses. Then I would build an office building in Town someplace close that would allow the offices to be moved off the Point and give so much more room. Then comes rides. Then I would focus on purchasing a couple more parks for Cedar Fair.

Everyone says they would move the parking lot to the main land but no one has really said how they would transport a large number of people to the park. Busses won't work because people show up to Cedar Point in herds. What would be a good trasportation system?

actually.. they have a land option on the McDonalds property I read in a real estate news thingy a while ago.

Louie actually owns two pieces.. The one the bar is on and one of the fields everyoen walks through...

Why not a monorail-type system? It could be set up as a complete circuit and have several trains running the loop.
