What I think is going in at Witch's Wheel!

I think we got that. It's the whole "clever" part that is debatable :)

I would love to have several rides from KI at CP but yeah, the terrain and setting is completely different so they wouldn't work.

I have no idea what will be going in at Witches Wheel. I just want to comment on the size of the pit where the motor apparently was. I peeked in the fence area last Saturday, I'm surprised they didn't reach the lake water level.

Hey, Paisley, about your point...Why can't they terrain form a little bit to make the terrain work a little? Probably the space thing, and I imagine it would be expensive as all hell.

About the motor pit...I wonder if they're going to fill it in. How deep would you have to go to reach lake water level at Cedar Point?

I think can give you that answer tomorrow. I glanced at some numbers the other day, but can't remember them off the top of my head.

Yeah...Patience is not my strong point. (And where is that gif from?)

Also when I saw that pit from Magnum, it looked maybe 6 or so feet deep. Right now I'm on the site, and maybe they'd put in a 2nd generation enterprise as It can be raised and operated horizontally and could be used for observation, but I doubt it.

Sounds about right. I wanna say the water table is around the ball park of 8-10 feet. Going to put a reminder on my phone so I check at work next week.

It would be a lot of money thrown at trying to make the park something it's not instead of taking advantage of the current topography and setting. Sure, they can move a bunch of dirt, adjust some structure, and plop Adventure Express down at CP but would it be the same ride if it was sitting over sand with a lovely view of the marina instead of in its "jungle"? And the Beast just needs to be in the woods. If it was nestled between other coasters in plain view it just wouldn't be the same. For completely new builds at CP major terrain forms probably wouldn't be worth the space but some aggressive landscaping like Thunder Canyon has around new rides with no view of the beach anyway would be a nice touch. I would love something done on the stretch of the train tracks where the spaghetti bowl of Rougarou is juts way too visible from the train and not an attractive view from that angle.

The park definitely needs some additional good flats. LOVE the Schwarzkopf wheel, but Iā€™d like to see a modern version, 300ā€™+, with climate controlled enclosed cabins and dining/drinking package options.

Can confirm that depending on location on the peninsula, groundwater is hit at 6-8.5 feet below groundlevel depending on where you're at exactly. Values could very well be +/- a couple feet from that depending where you're at exactly.

Thanks, Michael.

As for Augustmuller's idea, while that does sound nice(albeit not as nice as sailing charters), where would you put the thing? There's definitely not enough space in witch's wheel's former spot to accomodate a 300' wheel. Hmm, the only vital solutions I can see are on the former STR site, or you can rip down the giant wheel and put in your 300' wheel.

What if they just put grass and benches where Witches Wheel was? šŸ˜€

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Depends on what kind of grass. Are we talking Kentucky bluegrass or some variant of rye?
