What happened to Millennium Force in this picture because I cannot figure it out???
This is probably right after Green Train came off the track and flew into Lake Erie, they ride-stopped after it didn't come back in. It saved a lot of people's lives.

Nah, we all know the green train flew off during testing back before the ride opened in 2000. That picture is from 2006. I was sad when the green train flew off because they had to remove the loop after it happened. ;)
Let's Get Weird.
Haha, the picture in question was I believe one of the cables snapped, and the train came to a stop. They got the people off, the they tied rope or something to the front of the train, then tied the other end to the track.

Millennium Force looks like one of the worst rides to get evacuated on. I don't think they could get me out of the train. Does anyone know how they evacuate the patron? I know of the cart but it seems like there is a pretty big gap between the train and the cart.

Agreed coolkid, I'd probably have a panic attack if I had I had to evacuate off of Millennium. They had to get us off Mean Streak once when the train wouldn't grab the chain...that wasn't too bad. But comparing the two would be like apples and oranges, I'd imagine!

Well one time our train stopped on Millennium Force for like 2 minutes and people were crying. If anyone was disabled or it was a very day, I would feel bad for everyone. It just feels weird that there are no steps and that you are going up a lift at a 45 degree angle. I would feel more comfortable evacuating Top Thrill Dragster if there were anti rollbacks on the top and the train got stuck.

MF always gets stuck atop the hill, i want to get stuck on it, but never have. I have been in the station a few times watching it get stuck.
I have gotten stopped on magnum twice, mine ride once, beast once, and firehawk when it was X-flight at GL. I personally would enjoy getting stuck on MF, becasue it's so high and you get a view of the lake well/sandusky.
No green train was ever on MF, I wonder why that rumor started.....random.....:)
I can say I have been stuck on Millennium Force before. I would say it was like 2005 opening day. I remember being stuck on Millennium Force for like a half hour. I forget what caused it to go down that long but once they were able to get it going, they asked everyone on the train if they'd like to go again. Everyone including me were cheering yes!! So they sent us up again just to make it up to us. Other than that I've never had to be evacuated from Millennium Force.
I was stuck on it toward the end of the season in 2007. I think it was due to a seatbelt being undone as we left the station. The angle of that lifthill gets a little uncomfortable after awhile.
What I remember most is that, in the seat behind us, there was a fairly old guy with a girl in her teens. From the way they talking, it seemed clear that this was not a father/daughter relationship. I typically enjoy playing "Dad or Date?" at the park, but this was a little creepy and disturbing.
We got a re-ride, and it was at dusk with the fog in effect, so it was worth enduring everything for it.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

That would be very uncomfortable sitting at a 45 degree angle for 45 minutes.
