What do your friends think?

One of my best friends and I always have this discussion. We get on the topic of rollercoasters & CP, and it always end with me being right, but him saying 'YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE!!' Now, he isn't a die-hard like myself, he has a SP, but he doesn't keep tabs on all the coasters, you know, typical enthusist stuff. Now, do you have friends like this?I mean I know he's just kidding, but I think the jealousy factor comes into play. I tell him, rollercoasters ARE MY LIFE! But see the thing is he loves to go to the park, & ride the rides, but when you start talking technical stuff, he gets all mad, AND HE'S A COMPUTER TECH! I dono, just thought I'd post it, cause I'm bored.

As far as I know, I'm the only coaster enthusiast in my school! It's kinda neat though having the corner of the market, where anybody with a coaster question comes to you.

I used to be all out with my love for roller coasters and Cedar Point. Whenever there was a debate about something I was always right. Unfortunatly, nowadays I try not to step out with my love for roller coasters because people start to look weird when you can say the entire speil for Magnum

Most of my friends think I'm nuts. Then again, most of my friends are also mothers/wives in their upper 40's and think roller coasters are for kids.

On the other hand, I work at a University. When MF was being built, I posted construction pictures in my office, and did the same with WT. Since I create all the computer access ID's, I see lots of students daily, and lots of them ask me about the pictures/rides and CP. Some even come back to give me "trip reports".

Ah yes, I often hear, "You are addicted." I am also a mother/wife getting closer to 40 all the time. I don't think anybody in my circle of friends could name half the coasters at CP. (I must be hanging with the wrong crowd!!) I'm happy when I run across people who go to CP once a year.

Part of my job is to train teachers on using technology. I often start out a training session with a quiz about Cedar Point. I'm always amazed at how long it can take people to come up with name of the "300' tall, 92MPH roller coaster" at CP.

OldCPer, hopefully we can meet up at CP some day. Sounds like you're a fellow "older" female "addict" :^)

I also have a friend who has a SP and goes with me most of the time. I'm the technical guy who knows too much about the park, and it does tend to make him jealous. I am known as "The Cedar Point Guru" at school, and people are always asking me questions and quizzing me. I think they are amazed at what i know (which is probably peanuts compared to some people here). I love it when someone comes up to me and says "do the (insert the name of a coaster here) spiel". I think this love for Cedar Point is really starting to work for me. I have 4 girls that "absolutely have to go with me" this summer. :)

I think it's great:) It's like the whole school knows I'm in love with Cedar Point/Rollercoasters, so all questions come to me, but it's so fun.

Co-workers and friends think I'm nuts.....They ask how can you go almost every weekend? There isn't enought there to do.. I laugh.... They just don't understand and must not be able to feel the fun.....
