Given the general dislike many people in Sandusky have for the park, I'm not sure I'd give that poll much weight. The people who frequent the Register's website in general seem pretty negative.

Those results aren't interesting at all. As Ralph pointed out, the results are predictable.

And with so few people responding so far, it can easily be skewed by enthusiasts.

I think it will be a good addition to the park and bring some life to that area of the park. Whats the reason locals don't care for the park?

It's not a universal hatred, but there are grumpy people who blame the city government, the big employer, the tourism, etc., for their problems. But it's not necessarily a Sandusky thing. It's a victim mentality that exists in lots of towns.

Not only in a lot of towns but all across the country.

I am always fascinated how people always dislike a major attraction like CP near the town they live in. When I used to go to NASCAR races all the time we always heard the people sitting in their front yards that they were glad we were finally getting out of their towns. I was always like yah im gald im leaving too after just spending $1000 dollars in your crappy town.

The amount of money sporting events, concerts, or amusement parks geneerate to local economys is staggering. But, the people living there just seem to hate you for being there in the first place.
