What coaster clubs do you belong to and why?

I am intending to join at least one coaster club and maybe more.

I am curious as to which club(s) you belong to and why? Do you belong to more than one?

Being from Ohio it looks like there are several regional based clubs, along with multiple national organizations.

It seems like there is at least one club that is associated with this forum or at least the forum owners? I would probably join a club associated with this forum as it is here I learn the most about Cedar Point.

I am a platinum season pass holder and a coaster junkie. I will be visiting multiple Cedar Fair properties this year as well as other theme parks around the country.

I look forward to your thoughts and input.

Dave

(I did a search on this topic and the similar threads were from 2000 and 2005 and I thought opinions might have changed)

I am a member of the following clubs:

CoasterBuzz - Great regional events and it gives me an ad free experience on coasterbuzz.com

European Coaster Club - Great international trips and their publication "First Drop" is 2nd to none.

American Coaster Enthusiasts - Great National and regional events and their publication "Rollercoaster" is excelent

Great Ohio Coaster Club - Great Regional events, the publication "The Streak" is great and I'm an officer.

There are lots of great clubs out there. Most people end up joining a particular club because the events they hold fit their wants. Most clubs out there allow you to attend park sponsored events. So, take a look at the club's events and see what interests you most. Most events are just in the beginning stages of planning for the year.

x2 for GOCC. Great club!

Great Ohio Coaster Club. Jason, I plan to renew my GOCC membership soon. I just like being a part of GOCC because it's a local club that I don't have to go the distance for. Usually the only event I make is Coaster Mania, but one of these days I'll make the event for Kings Island. :)

ACE member since 1996. The 2 publications (Rollercoaster and ACE News) provide good articles and news with th news providing a listing of upcoming events.

I often think about joining GOCC,maybe soon.

I've been procrastinating sending in my GOCC membership for a while now, I should probably do that soon...

Also NAARSO and ASTM; do those count? 8-)
