What are wait times now??

Hey guys,

I was contemplating a day trip up to CP tomorrow morning, and was curious what the wait times were averaging for TTD now during bonus weekends. Is it longer than normal ops, shorter, or about the same?

I only ask b/c its a 2.5 hour drive for me, and only being open 10-8 I'd like to get more than 2 coasters in :)

Thanks

Well first tomorrow is a saturday. Thus the park is open from 12pm-11pm. Next TTD line is averaging around an hour wait or so w/ lil break downs (an hour line starts a lil after the pop machines). Probably a little longer during the morning when everyone rushes there.

According to the schedule on their website the park is only open 10-8 b/c its 'Bonus' weekends. Link:

I may be wrong though, I'd definitely not complain about longer operating hours :)

So on a Saturday lines are still only around 1 hour (baring major break downs of course)?

Last sunday 3 rides in less than 2 hours 20 minutes.

Oh you are correct about the 10-8 thing. My mistake I assumed that it would be the same as during halloweekends. Anways, go to the park and enjoy it and TTD

I'm going to Cedar Point this Sunday, the 14th. How long do u think lines will be? I would guess from 45 minutes to an hour or so, but if any of u went last Sunday. What was it like then?
Last Sunday was great. After about 1pm or so the lines never really past the pop machines.

Well it was all for not as I got stuck working this morning :grrrr:. Thanks for the info anyways. I'm going up again the first week of October, so I guess its not so bad.
Tough break, EvoMan. I guess that means your wait is going to be about 21 days, give or take a few hours.
Today was one of the best times at CP I have ever had. It was perfect weather and the park was not crowded at all and all of the rides that were supposed to be working were. Dragster was running like clockwork and the line was at the most 35 minutes. not making it to the pop machines most of the day. Mf was about 15 min. everything else in the park was a walk on... hope you can all make it out for halloween. werewolf canyon looks cool..

On the 13th it looked like the line was past the pop/soda machines multiple times. At least once I even saw a fairly full queue.

Getting in line before closing, we got through the queue, waited for the front for a few minutes and for the front until we saw we wouldn't get it, and rode, all in 58 minutes. One of the best waits of the season.

I think the crew is simply amazing, as I stated in a thread I started earlier in the season.

I think the crew needs to hear about it though, and so does Park Operations. They have had such a tough job this season, especially with all the complaints. I think they need to hear how great they are, so they know that we realize how hard they are working.

I'd say the wait hovered around a half hour all day today. Got the front seat twice, once in 45-50 minutes, then after a 20 minute rain shutdown and a 5 minute station wait.

That's outstanding crew work. Kudos to the Dragster crew. I remember waiting 4.5 hours for Dragster so a 35 minute wait would seem like 5 minutes for me. Nice to see you had a good time, Coasterguy76! I guess that's the norm at CP!

LOL! Thats funny (and accurate) stuff jdubya. Good news is it looks like my weekend project for work is cancelled this week, so I may just head up on Sat/Sun, making my wait a mere 5 days and (x) hours. :P

I got in three rides on Sunday 9/14. The first wait was 40 minutes, the second wait was 25 minutes and the third wait was 1 hour 20 minutes. The third ride would have been another 25 minute wait but it went down at first due to mechanical issues, which was followed by a rain delay. If not for that delay, we would have got at least 2 more rides before the park closed. It was sprinkling a bit for our last launch. To be totally honest I didn't feel the rain at all. After my 4 hour wait on opening day, Sunday was a dream come true, and hopefully a sign of things to come for Halloweekends, and next season as well.

I did notice that some of the crew were Magnum ride ops from this season.

Dragster Launches-11(Yay! Double digits at last!)

I have never waited longer than 1 hour and 45 minutes for a ride on Top Thrill Dragster whethere it says 1 hour and 45 minutes or 3 hours. One time it did say there was a 3 hour wait, but I knew that it wasn't going to be that long though I the line started well outside the entrance to the queu or whatever. But when I got up there and saw that it was three hours I went in and it broke down twice for about 20-30 minutes each, but sure enough that was the day I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The thing about the line that is different from Millenium Force is that I can't really estimate my wait time by the position in the line that I am waiting. I thought that I would only have to wait 45 minutes when I got to the pop machine if they are working people through the queu will full capacity, but it always varies. Probably on how they are launching the train. I had days where it was running consistently and I had to wait longer than days where there were large breaks between every two launches.

But don't expect to wait displayed estimated waiting time, even if it breaks down, it has always been alot less for me.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

Hey gang, finally got to go up this weekend. My God that is one hell of a ride!! First night waited approx 1 hour due to breakdowns (finally rode at 12:45am after park close). On Sunday got to ride twice, I think we waited about an hour and 15 minutes first time due to mech. problems, and about an hour the second time due to rain and breakdowns.

I also got to see 17 rollbacks this weekend, way more than I expected. Maybe the cold weather is causing it? Who knows. Unfortunately I wasn't one of them :( Oh well, I'm going back again this weekend to try again :)

EvoMan, I was on the last train out Saturday night, which was around 12:45. Which row did you sit in? We might have seen eachother and not even known it.

raptor, I was on the second or third last train to launch, sat in the 4th or 5th row of the leftside load section. Were you lined up against the black fence waiting for the line to open just before 12:00? we got in line along the fence around 11:40, then they let us into the queue just after 12:00 I think.

I was walking back past the track as the last train launched.

Well, if you remember seeing a kid in a blue Cedar Point sweatshirt in the last row (I know you don't), then that was me.

We were in line around 11:30, but one of my friends had to go to the bathroom right when the line opened, so we ended up being the last ones in line.
