What about capacity??

Unless there is a transfer track like on the Mr. Freeze rides at SFOT & SFOG I think the lines will be 4-5 hours long on weekends since MF gets an hour wait with THREE trains on a slow day! :-(  How are they going to move the lines! I think they need to add an Intamin hyperwoodie to help with capacity problem that I expect from Wicked Twister
I don't believe the ride would be very long so their would be a shorter wait. And Cedar Point will find a way to keep lines short.
Um, they worked on capacity, they made the trains 4-across, instead of 2

No, It's 2 across, 4 per car!

Don't get me wrong, I think this ride will have some long and slow-moving lines, but a good crew should be able to things moving at a relatively good pace.  Even 800 pph would be better than similar rides at other parks.  Mantis was getting about this many people per hour this year, so I'd say this line would move at about the same pace as Mantis did this year.  You also have to think of capacity from a park-wide standpoint.  This just adds 800-1000 riders to CP's per hour total.  That is 800-1000 people that can't be riding MF, Magnum, or Raptor at the same time.  More importantly, this addition should spread out crowds even more.  The Oceana area of the park has been dead for a long time and moving some people toward that area should help elleviate traffic back by Gemini/Magnum in the afternoon and MF/Mantis and Raptor in the morning.

Look if the ride time is 40 seconds liek it says and then a minute 20 to load thats 960 peeps per hour.

The way cedar point does things I don't see why this would be so hard to do. All a matter of putting enough people on the platform and not allowing stuff on the platform, like teh lockers at Millie.

And dont forget this is another ride to get people in more places in the park meaning shorter lines everywhere.

Welcome back Magnum riders how was your ride?

I don't know if you guys knew or not, but I just looked these up:
Millennium Force-1,600 PPH
Raptor-1,800 PPH
Wicked Twister-1,000 PPH (projected)
Also, more people will be walking around because they will be all over the park, whereas most people just skipped Oceana before.  This means less people on rides at any given time, that is, if the attendance is the same.

I found this other statistic page of Wicked Twister...

http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/rides/thrill/2002/wt/gallery.cfm

According to the statistics here it will have a ride time of 40 sec, and load/unload time of 55 sec. Thus would make it a 95 sec interval. If this were true they would hit 1210 pph. According to this page that is what the theoretical hourly capacity is.

Could they do this? The crew would have to work pretty hard.

Your thoughts?

Just like I have been saying but no one gets it Capcity will not be a problem.

If they do have 6 ride ops on the platform, it could happen. They'd need a pretty good crew, but with enough experience most people can handle a interval like that just fine.
