What about a season pass only day?

How's everyone feel about a season pass only day for us loyal customers who support cedar point every year?

What would the benefit to the park be in that? An operating day without gate receipts? Not going to happen.

Not counting the fact that it would be extremely busy and everyone would come back here and complain how busy the park was.

Yea Pitty, Poor Cp can't loose all that money just to please the people that are responsible for their success. What are you thinking? Besides, all the high payed workers have gone home to their third world countries.
They should at least honor your season pass for MM days. After all what does season pass mean? I took it as a pass for the whole season. Silly me. They should tell when you buy a season pass that it will not be honored for every open day during the year.
Does anyone know how many passholders there actually are? I wouldn't even begin to guess.
If anyone bought a season pass, then it was just that, a pass for the season. The CP daily season closes Labor Day weekend and then CP opens for weekends after that. Seems like if anyone bought a season pass, then they got their moneys worth. I know my daughter and I did.

As for not being notified about it being honored for every open day during the year. Should we be able to go when someone buys out the park like the basket people did or on AAA day before the regular season opened?

Besides the operating schedule is posted on the CP website prior to opening day.

I would like it if I didn't have to pay for MM, but that's another story. If you want to go, then you have to pay. I'll have to pay....if I can get the time off of work:)

You can fool others, but nothing you do is hidden from God.
JESUS rules :) :)
Would you really say that it's the season pass holders that are "responsible for all the success?" I would think that they would take more money in from the non-passholders than the pass-holders. How would having the day benefit CP? Would it mean more money for them in the long run? CP is a limited partnership, not a charity.

A bad day at CP is better than a good day at work.
Yeah they bend over backwards for the park guests and always think of the employees last.

Dan, I love cedar point and have been going for thirty years and will always have a pass, but i've yet to see anyone bend over backwards unless it benifits them. I know there will never be a pass only day' but I agree a season pass outta mean a season pass and yes a small part of c.p's success does come from passes or they would not have them. It's all about the money.
Do You really think a pass holder day at the end of October, on a weekday would set attendance records? I don't think so..If that was the case they would have one. It would however, still make a nice profit. That would be a lot of money being spent in the park on a otherwise dead day. But whatever. That's not what got me going. It's the MM days that's my main gripe.
If some group like AAA buys out the park for the day and it's posted before the season starts then you should have to pay. That's nothing new. You know about that from the beginning. But this adding days at the end of the year and not honoring your pass is wrong. The notion that CP wouldn't make money by honoring your pass on those days ( or any day ) is a joke. There is the parking, food, drinks, souvenirs ect..They would still make a very nice profit. If season passes hurt profits, they wouldn't sell them. The more you go, the more you spend. It's that simple. This is just a way to suck more money out of you.
If you read the season pass info, there is wording to the effect: CP reserves the right to "close" the park to season pass holders.
As for the MMania Days, EMPLOYEE'S who want to ride have to purchase a ticket for these days.
Just because you have a season pass and the Park adds a few days you should NOT be auctomatically entitled to admission.
I have Season Tickets to the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns, if either team makes the PLAYOFFS (these are dates ADDED after I buy the tickets) should my tickets to these additional games be FREE because I have already paid for the season?

Do you still get the chance at your same seats in the playoffs? If I look at it that way i think i should be able to call when playoff tickets go on sale and get your regular seats, I guess I would deserve them as much as you.
Once again, you know you have to buy playoff seats BEFORE the season starts. That's not something they hit you with at the end of the year. Like MM days. Besides, I don't think you'll have to worry about the Browns making the playoffs. LOL *** This post was edited by ToofastGM3 on 8/27/2000. ***
I did like how PKI had a season pass only day for SOB, I would think CP could do the same, and run it like MM. Only open a few rides, minimal staffing requirements, and only be open for a few hours. It seems feasible to me.
