What a worker had to say:

Within two weeks we should hear an announcement.
I don't think that worker was very honest with you, but who knows, it would be nice....

I really think it needs to be this week. Anything later, you get too close to 9/11, and would have to wait until late September or October.

Who finally met the infamous Magnum Dan!

Well, I was talking casually to my friends in line for WT (by the merge point) and the ride-op heard. He said it would most likely be in the middle of sept. b/c of the Cedar Fair Press Conference. That was supposed to be at CP last year, but the Sept. 11 came...

Parking: $8
Park Admission: $42
Elephant Ear and a Pop: $7

Riding the Greatest Coasters in The World: Priceless

I find that bit of info highly unlikely.

June 28th: LocoBazooka Tour (Sevendust headlining)
July 11th: Korn, Puddle of Mudd, and Deadsy

Actually Stretch it was the IAAPA Summer Conference that was supposed to be held at the point last year but it was cancelled after 9/11. The conference is being held this year to make up for last year. Also the Cedar Fair Corporate meetings are comming up where all of the GM's go to CP. You would think that with the park closed for 9 out of the next 14 days they would like to have a lot of construction being done and be able to show off "what they are building" to the IAAPA people and other Cedar Fair GM's. Given its the "worst kept secret" but if all of the GM's probably know what it is and almost all of the IAAPA brass know what it is, why not let the whole world know what it is. Then again that would make sense.

Well tonite they did seem awfully anxious to get the paddlewheel boats out of the water. I rode it around 7:00pm to say farewell to the way it was and they already had a trailer set up to get the boats out. There also alot of CP maintenance workers ready to go and get that area taken care of and get things ready for construction. I have a good feeling that area will be drastically different come next week.

"WE HAVE ANOTHER CHOICE PRIZE WINNER"

Walking out at 8 I noticed they were already taking the turnstiles from Troika out of the ground, along with the paddlewheel boats.

BTW, Joe Cool ERT was actualy sort of ERT this morning, got 3 Force rides by 9:30.

That is going to look empty without Troika, Chaos, or Paddlewheel there. I hope someone will be taking pics next weekend, as I will not be there to see it first hand (going to Michigan's Adventure).

I know while I was at the park today, workers looked like they were counting down to new years to get that stuff out of there...and that was just at 7:00 PM...has anyone discussed the tarp covered stuff now under the first overbank of Millenium...I never noticed it until tonight...(maybe nothing to worry about)

When I rode Mantis at 8:00 two of the boats were already out the water sitting by Mantis. I also saw a third making its way to that area.

Interesting, Dan. It sounds like they are in a hurry to get this ride built. I have the strangest feeling it is going to be a very long winter for Cedar Point, Intamin (they pretty much are everywhere this winter), the construction companies, and whoever else is envolved in this whole build big ride thingy process.

Electroblast sounds ok, I suppose.

99er, I think your pushing your luck. How are we supposed to know your not just making this up?

I would not be surprised if the new ride is announced this week but if it is not then I can't really see an announcement until mid October after the resorts and Cedar Point close for the year.
