Welding 6/26

The welding has returned to Wicked Twister. From opening until around 2 PM to 2:30 PM 3 maintenence members were on the platform of the back spike welding away. Around 3 PM Wicked Twister started running and around 5 PM they shut it down again. As I was leaving from my two day excursion at the point, maintenence was once again getting ready to climb up to the platform on the back spike. Although I didn't pay much attention to the area they were welding today when I rode yesterday on the 25th, it appears that they have welded a stell plate in between the running rails as there was a big metal colored spot where they were welding.

Besides all this, I got 3 rides in 2 days on WT and I must say its a great ride, especially in the last car.

On a further note... at about 9:30 that night they were welding the same spot. Since it was dark you could see the sparks flying, even way down by magnum.

When I was their yesterday at night after closing I was not over theur but I did see sparks coming out of the rear spike.

Wow, so what. They've been doing that for months now. Lets get some new material shall we...
