weird dream

Every once in a while I have a CP dream and the one I had last night felt too real. I dreamed it was 2005, and we were getting number 17. It was a water coaster like the new one at Hershey by Setpoint. It went in the back of the park and wrapped around the Swan Boats, and Wave Swinger, and went were the Antique Cars were in the back of the park. For some strange reason it felt too real.

In your dream were we arguing on whether it was a roller coaster or not?

Gee, I saw the topic for this thread.... and I thought it was going to be a link to this. http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail34.html
Before my time at Cedar Point, everybody always asked me if I ever had a ride in some kind of round room that spinds around so fast that you are stuck to the wall and the floor would lower itself from under you. They said it was a great thrill ride, but these are older folks mind you.

I always have a dream about this ride, though i never seen it and never even cared to research or learn about it. I always have a dream about being in a metal round room that spins around so fast, and all of the sudden the floor just drops down on you and you can't see nothing but black under you. And then it slows down and the floor never comes back and yhou have nothing to hold on to so tha tyou won't fall down to wherever the floor stopped. It is a reocurring nightmare really, not a thrill.

Khommy, that ride is called the rotor, in case you didn't know.

Ok, the weirdest CP dream I ever had was before I ever had been to CP in my life. I saw the entire park, in detail in my dream, and the odd thing was it was actually correct. I dreamed that I lost my money for admission so I snuck arround and climbed the fence by the blue streak. I went on every ride in the park in my dream, and the really freaky thing is that they were all where they should be and their layouts, trains, and even paint were accurate. That year I made my first pilgrimage to Cedar Point. I rode the new ride, raptor, which was my first coaster, and it was exactly like it was in my dream.

Arms down.....Arms down.....Arms down.......Arms down.....Arms down....Arms down...(you think they would get it the first time?!)

khommy..

I have seen several versions of that ride with several names. Some have padded backs and others do not. The fun part (if the ride operators let you) is to twist yourself sideways and upside down until the ride starts slowing then turn back around. It is fun if you do not have a weak stomach... I used to be able to ride it, but at 34 years old, I tried to ride it at the fair (in Oklahoma City) and walked off feeling REALLY sick. Didn't get sick, but felt it.

I had one before TTD opened that it was in a field and the track was not complete.I get on the train and all the people on it had to steer it onto the track in order to make it up the hill. Well behind the hill was a fence and we could not steer the train properly and we hit the fence the train flipped over the fence and landed on the other side thats when we all got out and walked away. Another one involved me riding Raptor and the restraints flying open at the top flinging me out of my seat and hanging from one of the supports. I lost my grip and fell to the ground. I got up, dusted myself off and walked away. See weird CP dreams.

Ive had dreams that I hit the ground but dont wake up. Anyway whenever I have dreams about coasters, they sre always really weird. Like the layouts are waaaaaaaaay off and weird things happen on it.

BTW did you know that if you have one of those falling dreams and you hit the groud the shock could potentially kill you? I read that somewhere. 0_0

My last experience on The Rotor (1984) consisted of being spewed with someone's vomit. I don't think I've ever seen so much from one person. Everybody, and I mean everybody in there got hit. Absolutely, my worst experience at CP!

Last night I dreamed they took TTD out and put in a GIGANTIC intamin wooden coaster.I rode it and it sucked so bad and I wished TTD was back.
Dan - something tells me dreams can come true ...

(I'm surprised no one else has picked up on this).

Dreams can come true, and that's the first thing I thought about when I read the initial post. On the other hand, those who know...well, you know the rest. Even Dan can fall victim to a sincere but ill-informed source.

If he's right, I'll miss those cars. It's one of the few things in the far end of the park that the preschool set can ride, and of the three, that one's my favorite. Of course, by 2005, my youngest will be closing in on five and should be ready for more action. Unless he becomes a big brother, that is.

I don't recall any CP specific dreams, although I do have recurring dreams about riding unfinished coasters.

The closest I can come to is a dream where I'm driving on the Edison Bridge...going up and up until my car is flying in the air and then suddenly falls.

BTW, that flying or falling sensation has also been said to be your "spirit" travelling from your body and returning.

I'm guessing, Mr. Noble, should this have any validity, CP's thinking is probably that they don't need two antique car rides, which is reasoning I'm sure they used to remove one of the flumes, one of the carrousels, etc.

For those reading between the lines:

I'll take credit for bringing up the Setpoint, but the Chief got pretty close to the "dream" location.

Is this even an unofficial rumour yet?

I'm not saying I need both of them, just that I like the one in frontiertown better than the one on the main midway for some reason.

Me too, actually. It's more relaxed back there ...

By no means was I making a prediction or dropping hints, it was just a dream that felt real.
