Weird Cedar Point/Coaster Dreams

I've had some weird dreams about me being at Cedar Point dealing with Coasters. One time, for example, I was dreaming about Cedar Point, the perfect PG-rated dream. However, for some deranged reason, I was too scared to get on any of the rides. Dragster had a pretty much empty line, and I said I'd ride later, just to get out of riding it. Also, another dream I had was that Cedar Point was in this big building, and the main attraction was the Dragster. Once again, my friend asked me to ride, and I made up an excuse that I couldn't. All of this is very strange because I would jump at the chance of riding any coaster, and I do! Just wondering if anyone else has any odd dreams about Cedar Point or roller coasters.

Yeah, I have had some wierd Cedar Point Dreams also. I had a dream that I got on Space Spiral, and when it got to the top, it kept going up off of the track. Then, a remote appeared in front of me. I could control where Space Spiral went. Wierd

I had one where I was on Raptor, and went i went through the cobra roll i fell through the shoulder harness and hit the midway. I woke up at impact. That's prolly not normal.

I actually had a weird dream last night.

I was in the bleachers watching the TTD. Every 3rd launch was a rollback, but they were still lletting people on. All of a sudden, it got on the crest, didn't rollback, didn't make it over, it didn't stop, it didn't fly over the edge.....It tumbled on it's side toward the queue line, only the train (It was the gold one) landed on the midway, but it wasn't the midway, it was a pond. I woke up as I was under water trying to rescue people....strange. Funny how this was posted today!

i had a dream last night that i was on dragster and but it after you wer elaunched you didnt go over the hill u jumped the hill and went to another one. and we didnt land on the track we landed in water and drowned! and i have dreams of getting stuck in the twist on dragster! a little out of the norm but exciting never the less;)

Sound a little like Willie Wonka to me.

That was what I was thinking CP/PKIdude. Ironic how I posted this a someone just had a weird dream recently.

I once had a dream where I boarded DT. As we came to the part where the announcment "I'm losing control!" , the hill was never-ending. The car kept on descending!

I've had a couple. One, the other night, I dreamt we were boarding WT. I couldn't get the restraints down, my wife told me to take off my sweatshirt (this worked in the past in reality). Still no go. Then the Tshirt goes. And so on till I'm in my boxers (don't ask). We get the restraint locked and we launch. Well the train doesn't just go up the spike anymore, it goes into the DT building. But once inside, it's my parents living room. So on every pass through my parents house, my Mom's yelling "Put some clothes on! You'll catch cold!" and all sorts of Mom-isms. Wierd.

Then another time I dreamt that I was mugged and I was chasing the perp. He got in line for TTD (which was in the middle of nowhere), and I followed. Well he was like 10 people ahead of me and I hate line jumpers, so I couldn't go after him. He got on, had his launch, and left through the exit platform. I was on the next train, launched, and went after him after the ride. Of course he was gone by then. So I bought his on ride photo and the search continues... Again, wierd.

I had a dream CP built a 420 foot, 120 MPH roller coaster.

Well I have had many dreams about CP. One was that I fell off the Magnum. In another I fell off the MF.

I have also fallin off Snake River Falls. In that dream I was going up the lift for SRF but, it was in the city and there were big sky scrapers on the side of it and in one of the windows of a sky scraper was a beatiful girl and then I think I just fell off after that.

During Magnum's inaugural year, I dreamt that its second hill wasn't a hill (with a rounded top) but a peak (with a pointed top). Cars would race down the first hill, go up the second, and then leave the track, twisting in a somewhat demented manner as people would fall out to their deaths (since this was pre-seatbelt Magnum). Signs all along the queue said (to paraphrase Thunder Canyon) "You WILL die on this ride". People couldn't get IN line fast enough.

At one time during the dream, there was a 5-hour wait according to the little dial sign at the ride entrance. I never did ride it--not because of the whole "you will die" thing, but because of the wait. I had better things to do with my time.

Other than random screams and watching the cars derail, twist, and seeing people fall out, I don't really recall there being any sounds or sights associated with this recurring event--like the crash of the train onto the ever-growing pile of wreckage or the sight of the pile itself. Maybe the whole mess fell into a bottomless pit. It was a dream, after all.

In hindsight, the dream probably had more to do with the extreme duress of Calculus III I had just gone through. It was the spring semester, and 6 hours a day of calc for 8 weeks (2 in class, 4 of homework) probably had taken its toll, manifesting itself in the most unusal way possible (even though continuity and convex/concave were topics that were never even discussed in class.

Every time i'm about to ride coasters i have a dream that i'm at SFMM for the first time, i'm walking next to Superman Escape and the train goes to the top and falls backwards on to people watching it. Maybe its a sign, like don't go to SFMM.

I had like a nightmare. We were in the 2nd seat for dragster, and this one guy would not put his arms down. We heard "Arms Down" at least 150 times. Whe I woke up I shouted "ARMS DOWN".

BTW- Do they have control over the automated voice "Arms Down!" ? I heard it repeated many times while waiting in line. I thought it was an audio malfunction.

I had a dream that I was at Paramount's Kings Island and I was riding a ride I don't particularly care for, Face/Off. It's got 5Gs around the cobra roll and it gives me a headache. I was riding it backward the first time and I was riding it. I had a headache after the first time around. However, on the return trip, the harnesses came loose and I fell about 100 feet to the ground below. I woke up before I landed but I had a throbbing headache from it.

Yes, the operator can trigger the "arms down" audio.

I've had many CP related dreams, however the park is always surrounded by a forest instead of a lake. My most recent one featured Power Tower inside of a mall, it was kind of weird.

Once I had a dream where I was riding Magnum, but it was insanely high- probably 1,000 feet. The train would just barely crest the hills. But then, after 4 or 5 hills, there was a jump. The train would jump off the track and then sail in the air for about 100 feet before meeting the track again. Of course, the train missed the jump and the instant before impact on the beach, (which suspiciously had dune buggies driving along) the dream ended.

Another dream had me driving my friends and myself to Cedar Point. Soon before we got there, one friend starting spazzing out. Kind of like Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man. He yelling he didn't want to go on the big rides. When we arrive, he runs away from us, to the entrance, then runs up the Raptor lift hill...strange.

That's just funny. I can only imagine people pushing in front of others to ride the "death" ride. At least there wouldn't be any rumors surronding that one, it's clear as day what's going to happen.
