Weekday v Friday

Hey, I'm driving up from NC to hit Cedar Point the first week it's open in May this year (just a couple weeks away!) and I'm debating whether there's likely to be a significant crowd difference between Friday the 15th and Wednesday or Thursday. Any thoughts? I plan to buy a fastpass regardless since it's just me. I've only got the one day so I want to cram in as much as possible.

There probably wouldn't be "significant" differences between those three days. If you will be purchasing Fast Lane it's probably a mute point anyway.

May 15(Friday),16,17 is Season Pass Holder Appreciation Weekend. The weekend after opening weekend is expected, normally, to be of less attendance, so CP, to increase attendance that weekend, hopes to draw pass holders and their friends(at reduced entry cost) to boost attendance. Being Friday is a work day and schools are still in session, I would expect the SPHAW crowd to come to their expectations on Saturday and Sunday.

The difference between Wed,Thurs,Fri is going to be determined by how many schools are having their CP trips on those particular days.

I went on opening week 2013 on a Wednesday and the park was dead and everything was walk on except gatekeeper which didn't open till 4pm due to wind!! Everything else was 5-10 min waits at the most! So if I were to buy fastpass I would see how the first hour goes and go from there. Are you a season pass/ platnum pass holder/ resort guest you get in an hour early at 9am!! Up to you! Hope you have a blast!!

Friday, May 15th is Ohio State Day so I would expect a larger crowd. Last year, it was held the Friday before the park opened so it didn't impact the operating season.
