I know crowd questions are usually a hell no around her but i have never heard this one discussed on here before so here it goes. How are week days in May when the park is only open to 7. I take it the crowds arent to big since kids are still in school and the park closes not to long after they get out of school. Im getting up to cp May 22 and i have never been during a week day in May so any info would be greatly appreciated.
As far as "when the park is only open until 7" goes, that's new for this year.
You're right, crowds are light, but exactly how light they will be is unpredictible. Kids are in school, but many have Physics Days where they send the kids to CP on a field trip.
I always go at least one May weekday per year, and I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes for anything but a brand new attraction, and everything except MF and TTD is a walk-on for much of the day. No guarantees that I'm not just lucky though.
Ya the closing time for Week days in May has changed from 8 to 7 which sucks but as long as the park is still open for atleast 8 hours i am fine with going.
But keep in mind that fewer people in the park usually results in fewer trains on some coasters. Magnum for example will probably run with two the entire day. I've even seen during the regular season when Mantis and Mean Streak will run with just one.
It doesn't matter if a coaster runs with one train if there is only a one train wait.

I've waited for 35 minutes for Mean Streak with one train, and 15 minutes for Magnum with two. With fewer trains being used, stations have the chance of becoming more crowded. I understand C.P.'s justification for doing so, but from a guest's standpoint, it's "possible" to have a longer wait during a weekday in May than you might on any other day during the regular season.

And yet you asked anyway. Just because a specific date hasn't been asked about, doesn't mean the FAQ Question 3 is invalid.
Now, I haven't been to the park a ton during the early part of the season, but I have NEVER with the exception of Mantis 3 years ago seen any coaster running 1 train. And that was opening day, so the only thing I can think of is that they hadn't qualified the other train yet.
