Well this might be a little more helpful then John linking you to generic information.
I will be there the same time as you like I always do. Last year it was alot busier then it was in years past. I was told it had something to do with Michigan starting school later, so if all stays the same it will be fairly busy and expect to wait fairly long for most rides.
Hope that helps a little.

Ditto what Matt said. That last full week in 2006 was considerably more packed than in years past. :( (At least it's good for the park. We can take solace in that thought.) So be prepared for at least moderately busy lines.

Thanks guys!! I appreciate it. I dont mind at all waiting in lines for the rides, its just thay my girlfriend is not a big fan of Cedar Point or any amusement park (I know!!)--She does not like roller coasters.
So I was really asking for her sake. Hey at least she comes with me!!!
Thanks again for your help!!
Since its on the current train of thought, would you recommend LHP for opening weekend Mr Scott? My thinking is about temperature...whether or not it makes a better spot for staying in warmer temperatures vs. cooler temperatures such as in May or Halloweekends. Ever stayed during opening weekend?
Promoter of fog.
I would like to share my experience in that when i go to the park and it's 'packed', most waits are still around a half hour or less. With the exception of the newer rides (Dragster, maxair, skyhawk, and MF) the capacity of the park is such that lines aren't much of an issue i think. Sure when i go the last week of August or on a May weekday i expect walk ons, but it's not like a Halloweekend Saturday or the 4th.
smoke 'em if you got 'em

I have a LHP cottage booked for the Monday and Tuesday after Opening Day. A cottage for one night was cheaper than the cheapest room in Breakers. Even if it is cold, you can turn on the heat and be nice a cosy. I actually plan on spending lots of time on the lakeview deck, something I've never had since that last 3 times at LHP were in a cabin.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
