I think that the webcam should be rotated about 80 to 90 degrees to the right so that us viewers at home may be able to see the construction of the next overbanked turn. Just something else, doesn't the first overbaked turn look cool?

yeah ithink that would be cool. But what would be cooler is if the got a new cam that could move with our controls. I saw one at a local news channel for the International Auto Show in detroit. They mounted it on the sealling, and it could move up and down side to side. The bad thing was that it took about 15 seconds to load on a ISDN line.
Turning it to the right would reveal the non-over-banked turn on the island, which is already complete.
Turning it almost 180 would reveal most of Mantis, and maybe the final over-banked turn on the former Giant Wheel site in the distance. As far as I know, the supports are up there, but not the track.

I think CP should put the web cam on top of snake river falls. Then you will be able to almost the whole ride. I cam we could control would be sweet!
Jeff, I thought that there were two overbanked turns on the island. There is only one? And, have you got any notice if they have topped off the Magnum hill and started down?

The first turn on the island is not over-banked, and in fact is quite large compared to the one you can see.
The "Magnum" hill was topped a few off weeks ago, and the track is just off the view of the camera.
Snake River Falls would not be a good vantage point to see the entire ride, because the lens would need a field of vision of about 140 degrees. The truth is, the only place you could really see the entire ride would be Power Tower with a wide-angle or the Space Spiral.

The ride is almost done so we should not wory about were they place the webcam.
I say when MF is totally complete, Move the webcam to the station (aimed towards the lift), so we can watch them test it!

Right idea Seven, except the cam takes stills. SO we won't really see them physically "testing" it. A test ride video would be great

If you look now, they have changed the angle, you will now see construction on the first overbanked turn!

so where is the web cam now? still on Mantis' brake run? and what part of Mf is that in the distance? i ca't seem to get my bearings on it..PLUS, are they trying to show the construction going on in the background???? it's still a pretty cool shot, but nothing will soon beat watching that lift hill go up!!!

"I think I scrambled my brain!!"
You're seeing the top of the first turn with the "finger" tower. In the foreground you can see the pair of tracks that go over the lagoon and back.
