Hey! I'm not sure if this was previously brought up, but a general question, do most rides run in the rain? And thunderstorm? Thanks a lot!

I can for sure tell you that Disaster Transport continues to run. Except, everyone always heads for that ride when it starts raining so the line become unbelievably long. However, most rides do shut down when it begins to rain very hard or thunderstorm. The big rides are usually the first to go down, especially when winds get too strong or lightning is predicted or spotted. I have ridden MF in the rain before, but it wasn't a downpour by any means. I know many others have ridden it in the rain as well. So, after all this talking, the best way to sum this all up is by saying that it often depends on how severe, but most rides will shut down for safety reasons. You can usually get away with rain riding when it's light, but not when it's a downpour. Hope that helps.

Disaster Transport does not continue to run in thunder storms. It goes down like the rest of the rides. It occasionally closes due to rain as well because the roof leaks and water lays in the trough.

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE

Well, I do see your point about that. It's possible that the ride could leak, but it's still a ride that many people run too. I have even run to it myself and ridden it in the rain, so I figured it didn't shut down. I guess if it's raining really hard, then you might as well forget about riding and see a show or something if one is going to start. If it's light rain, see what's still running. Maybe you could ride the Dodgems a few times.

in rain covered rides stay open and most of the bigger coaster close, once the rain has stopped or the conditions are safe again, the coasters will be tested, dried off and the rides will resume again. hehe anyone know what video i discovered that on? ;)

Besides the great rides and being the best of everything, the best part about Cedar Point is that it isn't Six Flags! YAY!

all but a few run in the rain and no coaster run in storms!
