We are all so blind...

Most of us, I think, have seen some off-season photos taken in the winter of 1998-1999. Most of us have seen...and talked about...those photos that showed a Magnum lead car cribbed up at a very steep angle. Why do I have a strange feeling I know now why they did that? The stupid thing is that it took me this long to make the connection! Thanks to the person who made an off-hand comment about it in the "interesting technical question" thread...
this is the explanation given to this on Dan's website-www.spiritofthepoint.com

"When you get a chance go to http://www.msu.edu/~levydust/cpmyphotos.htm This is the picture page off Jeffery Spartan's website. If you take note of the third picture on the page you will see one of the Magnum cars on a 45 degree angle. Now they have never done anything like that before. When myself and everyone else saw that picture everyone wondered why they would have ONE Magnum car on an angle like that. I should note that picture was taken during the winter after the '98 season. In the HUGE piece that the Cleveland Plain Dealer did on MF I saw this quote " Park management strapped themselves in a car taken from another coaster at the park to determine how comfortable it felt sitting back at 45 degrees - the angle that cars would be hoisted up the Millennium Force lift hill."

Well, the first piece of track did arrive in December 1998...

Since like Jeff said, the track arived at CP 2 years before it's debut Mabey CP's next coaster is just sitting around some where!
P.S. How do you know it's at a 45degree angle, I mean how do you figure that out without a giant protractor(sp?)

So, any other cryptic CP photos come out recently? =)

I know! Mean Streak is running lubed again! We're getting a woodie!
[Is MS still running well, or has it hit the mid-season dregs?]

So if they did it the same with the next coaster, track would start to arrive this december.

IF it was a steel coater, a wooden one wouldn't have "track" delivered.
I agree with MFisthebest, unless if there was some kind of new wooden track that had to be assembled somewhere else. The wood would just be deleavered as the worked on the coaster.
Remember, before Mean Streak was publicly announced there was tons of wood being piled up in the parking lot? Mantis and Raptor track was there early as was the Speedway for Camp Snoopy. Majority of Power Tower was near completion by the end of October. I wouldn't be surprised it next years ride will be there before the end of the season.
