Wave pools in the past vs now

Chief Wahoo, yes! Those tube slides at Dover were awesome. Went there a few times.

My biggest 'scrapes and bruises' waterpark moments always came from that tube ride at Dover Lake. You got in a lazy river type ride with drops. No one controlled who went down when, so you'd have tandem riders, folks smashing into other swimmers at the bottom. Often times in murky lake water. They had one with relatively tame and small drops (save for the grand finale) that was ok, but another that you had to take the ski lift to access that was brutal.
