I was actually driving into the park when the storm hit. It was raining so hard on Perimiter Rd that people were stopping because they couldn't see. My wife and I saw a tiny waterspout looking thing on the RK causeway as well. Tried to snap a picture, but wasn't able to because I was driving.
The rain stopped about 5pm so we grabbed a Starlight pass and the park was almost empty. It was fantastic!
Here's a link to some crappy pictures of said storm:

Nice pictures, structure of the bottom of the storm looked a bit different than I would have expected.
I would still say fair weather waterspouts are reasonably rare and don't happen more than a few days a year on the great lakes. Tornadic waterspouts are much less common.
Are the storm shelter signs new? I don't recall seeing them previously. I assume it has to do with being storm ready
Saw this on twitter this afternoon. Waterspouts this morning near the park. Anyone else see them?

On 7/28, while I was enjoying ERT at 9:10 AM, my fiance was outside of our room at Hotel Breakers and snapped some pics of the waterspouts over the lake.
