Water Prices?!

hey i was wondering if they were charging for water at stands this year? Usually they give you free water i \n little cups. When i went to cp with my cousin theyy charged him 2.75 for this cup of water!!! If you go to cp watch tell me if they charge you.

Was it really a cup? I think the employee may have been confused in that case. I wasn't charged for water. I think you just have to be careful about what you ask for. Make sure you specify a cup of water and not just "water" or else you will probably get a pricey bottle. You might even ask for a cup of free water and see what they tell you. Heck, I'd give them a nickle for the cup if
I had too. Beats drinking that fizzy stuff! Other strategies include carrying one of those collapsable cups in your pocket and filling up at a water fountain.

There's a fungus among us
If you ask specifically for "ice water" it ususally makes things less confusing.

Does CP allow you to bring in plastic water bottles, full or empty? I've been in some parks that let you, and I've heard that CP allows coolers/food into the picnic area. Usually I'll bring a 16/24 oz. sport bottle, and refill it along the way.

We brought a sack in the park with us. We had it loaded with veggies, chips, pop, fruit, ect... and we were permitted to carry it with us.

Be there through the thick and thin.

Independence is coming
Just buy or bring a water bottle, then fill up at a water fountain when your empty.
Ice Water has always been free from all Cedar Point concession stands, so I don't see why this year would be an exception.

Great name bobthetomato. Made me chuckle.
A good trick to use is to freeze your water bottle the night before, then you will have ice for most of the day and it's no problem to fill up at the water fountains. Incidentally, I think (as a sweep) that the best water fountain is the one at the back of the Sky Ride station near the Main Gate, or else between the Gemini restrooms. They're both out of the way so they're not abused so much, and they always seem to be cold!

The one across from the Disaster Transport exit is colder...on par with the one in the Operations office.
The one in front of Blue Streak isn't bad, either.

Whoops, forgot about those. I suppose I would not recommend any of the green ones (they always seem warm), or the ones by the main arcade, since those are broken most frequently.

Ice water in a paper cup is always free at any refreshment stand. I've asked for that a number of times this year already.
I'd do anything to avoid the Aquasana in the machines. Not only is it "I'm not paying that much for Aquasana" but it tastes like hose water, right up there with Dasani. At EMU, we think the worst punishment on earth is to be stuck having to get Dasani between classes because you forgot your Evian.

Water's been free for me as always. I try to avoid drinking fountains in general, so I guzzle a quart of Evian or something before I go in for the day to hold me over as long as I can...

I know who's fault it is!
I just got a free cup of ice water today; so, it really is free!

A bad day at CP is better than a good day at work.
Uusually if you ask for "ice water" it means water in a regular cup. Those are free. But if you said just plain water, the stand worker probaly thought you meant some bottled water.
