Water on the Webcam

Hey Folks!  I noticed that there's water droplets on the Construction cam this morning.

Being that I'm 2500 miles away, and being that it's 108 days until I return to the Park for our little U2 Coaster Con, I have to rely on the park cams to get my "fix".

So, could someone pop on over there to wipe off the lens on the Construction cam for me?  I appreciate it.

Thanks

Ron

Shootin' for 10,000! :)

I don't think there will be much to see. I'm near Cedar Point, in Detroit, and we were hit last night with one helluva snow/sleet/ice/freezing rain/rain/thunderstorm last night. Something tells me that after that they won't be working on WT today.

EDIT: I retract my previous statement, there appears to be some people around WT.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say he was being sarcastic.

If not, well, I guess this is the right place for it.

I live just south of detroit and let me tell you, if those workers know what's good for them, they won't be working on WT if that storm hits them. There are huge tree limbs laying in people's yards and power lines that collapsed covered in about 1" thick ice. We had a horrible storm with everything you could imagine. From rain to snow to ice. I was actually expecting the storm to hit the workers so I figured that there might be some water on the webcam. Heck, if they get hit full force, I wouldn't be surprised if the webcam lens was covered in a sheet of ice. I hear ya Millenium Rider. This storm was no fun.
Then i guess it would be inappropriate for me to say that it's going to be 73F and sunny out here in your Nation's Capital.....

Beware what you say 2Hostyl cause I've heard Old Man Winter going to come back real soon. It was 67 degrees yesterday here in (Columbus) Oh. And tonight they're talking 21. Blech :(
As far as the webcam goes considering it is "sheltered" the wind must really be whipping up there or possibly is it just condensation?

I just saw a shocking story on the Daily Show.

This man saw snow actually falling from the sky.  Then all of a sudden a snowman appeared on his lawn.  A little boy near by claims it had a lighter for a nose, buttons for eyes, and a p**** for a mouth. He shot 6 times at it.  4 hit it, one hit himself, and the f-ker is still there.  Lastly, on the scale of 1-10, it was a 5 for abomidableness(!)

I agree, winter is still here and very much alive!

May 2002: U2 Fan Coaster-Con @ CP! ELEVATION, BABY!

Man these guys are great! They are working in VERY VERY BAD weather! I live in Toledo and have not had power for the past 36 hrs. And these guys are out there working in the rain and wind! We have to give these guys a hand for the great work they have put into this ride so far it has been great and they are moving along no matter what mother nature throws their way! GOOD JOB GUYS!
Raptor_Rider, nope, no fun in this storm. Can't even make a friggin snowman, the snow is covered with an inch of ice! Anyways, it looks like WT and CP in general missed the heavy stuff that hit me. That could've really delayed the job, although they're ahead of schedule.

"Yes. The Force is strong in that one."

What is this topic's point? I must of mised it.

Actually, since there is so much work to be done for the electrical/power/computer portion of this ride, I doubt that weather will hold them up much considering this is all done inside.  As quickly as the rest of the coaster went up, I doubt that putting the additional twists on will take much time.

Actually, I bet half of the work is outside. Each track section with LIM's has dozens of short cables hanging from it. They all have to be connected and fed through a huge array of conduit that all goes back to the electrical building. The extend of the wiring is much greater than I ever thought when it's not tucked away as it is on a finished project.
