Wanna be on a Rollback?

I just came to the conclusion that Top Thrill Dragster Rollbacks with public riders is pretty common in the morning. Since I am going to be headed to college I decided that I should spend some days at Cedar Point. In the past two weeks, I have been there about five times. I have taken advantage of my Joe Cool's Club's exclusive ride time and find that Rollbacks with riders are not rare in the morning.

I've always wanted to be on one and I finally got to be on one this Sunday, I decided why not try to be one of the lucky trains to get sent more than once. The ride doesn't even stop and tell the people there is a mechanical problem, it's straight to the next train.

That's because of the sign that tells people before they enter the line that rollbacks are common and need not worry about them...

I got all my roll backs on the Red train.

Geesh Tony, 5 rollbacks? Your one lucky person :). Me...0 for 11 :(

Magnum XL-200: 52

I will repeat what has been said. The best chance for a roll back is to try and be one of the first trains out in the morning.

... and try and be on red. I swear, that train is the bad child of the six. I've only seen the ride working on 4 of 9 trips to the point this year, but every time except opening day, the red train was always the problematic one - either being the train that seems to cause the failures in the computer system, or the one that rolls back, or the one that just barely makes it over the hill. That being said, I'll be at the point Sunday morning trying to get on red ;)

The only Trains I have seen with massive rollback problems (3+ launches empty to get it over) was the Purple Train (most often) Green, then Gold.

Well, ive riden the TTD twice now, only cause of not wanting to wait in the line so long, but both times that ive riden it was was close to closing. I hoped so much to get a rollback, that would be awesome. I am going up at least 2 more times this summer for a total of 6 more days. I can only hope!!

Momma once said life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna' get.... unless of course it's ones of them boxes with the flavors on it!

When I went to Cedar Point a couple of weeks ago, the green train (was supposed to our train, we got moved for some reason) rolled back. Sucks that we were supposed to be on it, but still. All of the rollbacks, except for one, have been from the Green. The other one I saw was Red. Seen in the area of 30 rollbacks....

I don't remember what train I was on, but I did see a blue train roll back before I got on.

Hey all, just got back from a weekend at the point. TTD was being VERY finicky (maybe the cold weather?). All in all from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening when I left I personally witnessed 17 rollbacks, WAY more than I ever expected. At one point while just getting in line one train rolled back twice in a row, then got stuck at the top for 4 or 5 seconds before going over.

As far as train color, the blue train seemed most consistent on the rollbacks, with green close behind.
