Walking Distance In CP

Hey I got a question. Not sure if anyone knows this but what is the distance from the front gates to the Meanstreak. Like in miles or feet. Anyone have any idea?

Thanks, Mandy!

Cedar Point says:
one lap around the park (along the midway, from the front gate to the Mean Streak and back to the front of the park via the Frontier Trail) is approximately 2.1 miles.

Wouldn't that be "Cedar Point's Webmaster Says:"? ;)

Front gate to Mean Streak Train Station is exactly 1 mile.

Not to be confused with Twisted Wicker 08 from 2002

Exactly?

Its just over 1/2 mile from my usual parking spot to Millennium Force ;) I made that walk quite a few times this summer.

I believe I read somewhere that the average guest walks 11 miles in a day at Cedar Point.

And I believe it! I probably walk from the front to FT and back to the front 3 or 4 times each trip, plus the walking within the areas that I stay in for any amount of time including the queues. Wait, make that 4 to 5 trips back and forth, sometimes even 6 because I walk so fast (well, more like a long stride, but, whatever).

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

So that explains why my feet hurt so much at the end of the day! :)

If 11 miles is correct, it's a wonder there aren't more people dying of heart attacks.

I am wondering why I don't lose more weight?

Now I know why 3 day weekends at the Point about do me in.

It won't be long and I'll be riding on one of those scooter things designed for the elderly.

The park has a map that you can get that explains the distance from certain points to other locations in the park. They have it for those who like to walk. It has several different routes you can take and if I’m not mistaken, you can get this map at HR and I think the front gate. I got one this past summer but I don’t recall where it was I got it. I didn’t even know they had something like this but I guess its been around for a while.

I live in Columbus, and Im a runner. Did you know they used to have a 10 k race that went up the causeway? We have a local race director that is trying to get it going again, but its a logistical nightmare, and will probably never see the light of day. Just fun trivia. :)
