Hi there guys...Just was wondering if anyone had any solutions on this seemingly endless wait for Cedar Points Opening day....I feel just like I did when I was in school...Waiting for Summer Vacation!!! I swear I have "Virtually" Rode Every single ride at least 5 times a day...(Thanks to the cedarpoint website!) I am still phyced about riding the Millennium For the first time and facing my fears!! I have looked at this website at least 20 times a day! I don't know how much more Waiting I can do?!
I would like to say though how great all of you have been in helping me face my fears!! You are all just the nicest people I have ever met online!!!
Impatiently waiting,
braden
You remind me of how I was last year and I know the exact feeling that you are having. Especially now when its so close with the rides testing and final setup. April last year was a really slow month but now to make the time go by faster I just put my mindset on something else like bands, movies, ect. . In your case I'd keep checking everything out like your doing cause it was great keeping that excitment up everyday until opening day.
3 Rollbacks- 2 back to back front row -dead serious- IT WAS THE SH*T!!!!!
Reminds me of myself in the time leading up to my first trip (last summer - 8 days). I waited for that trip for 5 looong years. Yes, I live in Denmark. Yes, I went to USA to visit Cedar Point. Yes, I felt goosebumps when I first saw a road sign saying "Sandusky". Yes, I cried quietly when I saw that Cedar Point sign leading up to the causeway. Yes, it was the best experience ever. Yes, I will return. I can´t go the next couple of years, but I still think about it every single day. ;)
Indeed! I have to finish my studies first, before I can afford my next trip. I´m planning on going again in 2009 ;) Luckily enough, I shot a lot of video while at the Park and in Sandusky, and I watch it very often. It´s almost like being there again :)
Just think--fifteen years ago, we didn't have the internet capabilities to "ride" the rides all winter, thus it made the "opening day" anticipation worse than it is now.

Cryostasis, ha, I like that! :) (the way to think about offseason, not offseason itself of course)
Yeah, I´m pretty sure I´m gonna get my "fix" on Black mamba, Phantasialand and Speed Monster, Tusenfryd. ;) I´m sure they´re gonna be great rides, but I will still miss the beautiful Main Midway, the nice people and ride-ops, the late evenings with Snoopys summer spectacular blasting in the back, while I´m cresting the top of MF´s lifthill... Geez, it was so hard to leave :(

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one checking this site 20 times a day. I'm making my first trip this June. Absolutely can not wait.
I've made a hundred lists on the rides I want to experience and rewrote those lists a hundred more times.
Can anybody send me a couple of brochures/maps that you get when you enter the park. I'm willing to pay. I need to study the maps and plan my day out. I know I can look online but I need something that I can look at and day dream all day when I get bored at work.
I guess I'll be getting my fix at Dollywood until June. I love Thunderhead. I rode 5 times yesterday. I'm about an hour and a half away from Dollywood and get a killer deal on a season pass.$19. My company picnic is there every April and you get to trade in your 1-day ticket for a season pass.
