Wait times in June

I just found this site a few days ago and decided to become a member since on June 12 I'll be leaving for a week long trip to Cedar Point and I was wondering how long of a wait can I expect when I'm there? And to answer a question posted earlier, on my first ride on Millennium Force I will have my hands up!

Try the third Sat. in June (17th this year). I have commonly heard that the third Saturday in June has a light crowd because of graduation parties going on everywere.

NO a lot of middle schools and high schools from up to 3 hours away visit cedar point in the middle of June and on any day to.
WAHAHAHA! My school gets out at the end of May so our school doesn't have those waits when we go
On the web site www.guidetothepoint.com theres some info on what ride to ride at what time. It's really useful, I use to use my own times but after I read that I made a few changes and with mine and it combined it really works well. It's more about what you ride at what time as apposed to when you go. (In the months of june and july)

On May 13th my life will have meaning again!
oh you are sooooo right, Alex. our first visit to the Point was severely marred by one of theose school trips. the wait times were'nt bad, tho. walk ons for Blue Streak, 60 mins for Mean Streak, 90 minutes for Raptor, 25 mins for Magnum. the problem came when one of the unchaperoned little darlings decided to hold a lighter up to the sprinkler in his room at 1 A.M and set off the fire alarm in our wing of the hotel Breakers. we had to evacuate..it looked like Titanic or something...kids seperated from parents crying in the hallways, teenagers running around (Rather gleefully, if you ask me)pounding on doors to wake people up...(probably the culprit himself)...and when we asked CP what was done about it. like was he kicked out, both in person and in a letter, all we were told was "yeah, that happens all the time. there's never enough chaperones for those trips." our strongly worded letter was never answered. i might have sent it to the wrong addy...ANYHOO, in my opinion, you should just go, do like i do(bring a paperback book in a fanny pack) and hope for the best on the wait times. when it comes to your lodgings, tho, save your sanity and ask to be housed AWAY from any school trips....
of course, our GOOD experiences are what bring us back ,and we've has so many of those i can't count. our bad experiences we can count on one finger, and you just read about it...

Thanks for you help! Although the only problem is I have to go the week of June 12th because my graduation is on the 11th and I start Summer school in the beginning of July. Servo, I hope you're kidding about a 60 min wait for Mean Streak not being that bad. Also, cedarpoint.com says that June is one the best times to go, but why would they say that if it's so crowded.

P.S. My personal photo was taken on the Lion side of Gwazi while at Busch Gardens for Physics day Dec. 3, 1999. I'll try to make it larger without distorting it too much.

I went in mid-june last year and it wasn't bad at all. 10 mins for Power Tower, 30 for Raptor in the morning, 5-10 Mean Streak, Magnum 20. Mantis 15. Then again it was also a wednesday. Never mind :)
Montu, i was not kidding. it was a long wait for some folks but considering the waits i have endured for other rides, 60 mins for Mean Streak was not bad. it was, however 60 minutes because they were adding another train to keep up with the fact that the line was so long. that alone took about 20 minutes. see, i LOVE Mean Streak. it beats the stress right out of me....so for me, 60 minutes for a ride i LOVE is ok in my book. now, 75-90 minutes or MORE for Raptor? too long for me. i love Raptor too, but not like i love Magnum, Mean Streak and Mantis. Yes, MANTIS. i have also waited over an hour for BLUE STREAK of all things...so i guess wait times are all relative, depending on how you feel about the ride you're waiting for...

20 minutes sounds better. I'm interested to see how the line for Millennium Force will be, and hopefully it won't be too long.
