Vote Cedar Point for Best Park in America!

I have been to Disney World many times, and there are things I love at Disney. Jeff mentioned Illuminations, that is the best choreographed fireworks show around. The restaurants and atmosphere surrounding World Showcase Lagoon prior to the show is absolutely amazing and everyone should experience it at least once.

As has already been stated, you really can't compare Disney and Cedar Point/amusement parks. Disney does a lot of things very well and we always have a great time going there. Our trips to Disney are every few years and when we go we stay for at least a week at one of their resorts. Disney is great place to visit and definitely has a whole lot more than just stuff for kids.

I enjoy the fact that CP and other local entities, like the Toledo Zoo, fare well in these rankings. I feel that the results however are more a demonstration of social media abilities, rather than a legitimate evaluation of the parks.

Well stated!

Yeah, I don't know how well the votes are stacked and I'm sure execs would be clued in if they were skewed but I think they use it for marketing as opposed to assuring they really are #1.

Wow Magic Mountain came out of nowhere all of a sudden. Same with Great Adventure, and now Kings Island isn't even in the top 5 anymore. Keep on voting!

I am one-hundred percent with you. I think Cedar Point is the best amusement park out there, and I myself count Disney as a resort because, no matter how bad I feel saying this, Cedar Fair just doesn't compare to Disney's nature. Universal on the other hand, I was disappointed with. It seemed very dirty and the rides were "meh". Cedar Point triumphs over this one.

Six Flags is now using a ticket give away to entice people to vote for them.

Yep. That's Six Flags for ya. Gotta get votes/bragging rights SOMEHOW, right?

Everyone, keep voting for Cedar Point. I can't believe it dropped to 3rd. Last night I thought there was no doubt that CP was going to win.

I clicked on the link now and see it's a vote for best theme park. Since Cedar Point prides itself on not being a theme park, I voted for Disneyland.

Are all the other choices theme parks, though? I'm not familiar with all the parks but I wonder does USA Today even realize there is a difference?
