Voodoo at dorney park

Has anyone heard yet that steel venom is now voodoo at DP? It's on rcdb, and looks very official. Just thought I 'd let you all know!!

Yes we did. But thanks for letting us know just in case we hadn't heard. :)

The new coaster at Hershey will blow away Voodoo.

What is the new coaster at Hershey??

Yeah. It's caled "Farenheit".

Voodoo is an hand me down coaster with problems, as "Farenheit" is new Intamin coaster that looks pretty dang cool. Don't get me wrong I love the holding brake (if they still use it) on Voodoo, I wish Wicked Twister used it.

It's a little hard to install a holding brake on a twisted track. I've been on V2 at SFGAm and that really is a cool feature to the ride. I don't know which I like better though.

Superman/Steel Venom/VooDoo. How many times does one have to get a name-change??

Yes, WT would be cool if it used a holding break, but WT is special and unique and is glad to be different from the other impulses all over the country :)

Yeah I agree with Miss Maverick Wicked Twister is unique how it is.

I think WT is 10x better than SV even with the holding brake.

Thrills Around the Corner!

Holding breadks make me want to gouge my eyes out... especially the one at Valleyfair, what a horrible idea.

Whats wrong with the one at Valleyfair's holding brake?

It tends to be less of a "hold" and more of a stuttering, slamming, experience...

i've never been on any other impulse other than Wicked Twister. The rear spike is my favorite part because of that twist. With no twist, the only view you get from the back car is the second to last car. Instead of a 200 foot drop.

While I'm on the subject of WT, I always knew it swayed quite a bit, but stand back by the beach gate, where the Jet Ski/Parasailing office is, and you'll realize just how severe that back tower sways back and forth. I was very surprised by it the first time I saw that.

^ You should've seen it before the extra braces were installed. :)

I was on Dorney's website and said Voodoo used to be Steel Venom and saw pieces of red track there

I didn't know that WT swayed... Thats kind of nerve-wracking

Even the world's tallest skyscrapers sway at least 6 feet back and forth from the top.

I've been on Dorney's website and can't find anything about "VooDoo"?
