Does anyone know if you can visit CP in winter to look around? I saw that Jeffrey Spartan had pics from winter.
Thanks

ride early, ride often!!!
You can try it to visit, CP police say they will prosecute for trespassing!! If you want pics that bad, an employee would probably be more than glad to get them for you.
It's been a few years since we've had "Christmas in the Park". You just reminded me of it and I really don't know why it was discontinued. If I remember correctly Christmas in the Park was in November and early December. Just the Carousel at the front was open plus the gift shop to the right. The gardens along the midway were decorated with Christmas lights; however you could only see them if you had a reservation for a carriage ride through there. Reservations for this were very hard to get and it included cookies and hot chocolate. Perhaps this was why it was discontinued. In any event, I remember going and not being overly thrilled, but it was great to get a look at the rides!
The reason Christmas in the Park didn't survive it's rookie year is probably because there wasn't really much there. Just a gift shop, a carousel and a few lights. Thus, the crowds were light.
Now, if they put the same effort into Christmas as they do Halloweekends, then we would have something. It'd be nice not to have to drive to Hershey to get the same holiday amusement park experience.

That'd sound great. Imagine driving up the causeway and seeing PT and MF lit up in red & green lights at night if they could do it. Plus the whole park lit up and decked out in X-mas lights. That'd be awesome!
