I'll be there 6-7 June. Can't wait! Always wanted to go since I saw Raptor on TV in 1994.
Really hope TTD & MF will be working then.
Why is CP so far from Aussie?? Our coaster population is tiny.
Did I say I can't wait???
;)
Have a blast!!
If you get there first thing in the morning, head straight to Dragster. You may have to wait a bit for it to open if you're there *right* at opening, but it's worth it. Higher chance of getting a rollback, for sure.
I went for the first time ever 16 May and got to the park at 9:30. Ran in and went to Dragster, and waited a whole hour for it to open up (opened late due to rain), got first ride, front seat at around 11, launched, and rolled back on my first ride ever. It was wonderful!
Anywho...have fun! I'll cross my fingers for your rollback!

Cheers mate. Not sure about rollback. When the braking fins pop up as the train launches, how is it fail-safe? Be a disaster if they fail to pop-up. I worry too much. ;) Rollbacks would be awesome - 1.5 rides in ago.
I'm staying at the Breakers which allows guests into the park at 9am. :D Making a beeline for TTD alright & hopefully I get some ERT. ;)

Nah...Dragster is probably one of the safest rides in the park. Magnetic brakes EVERYWHERE. Even if the fins screw up somehow, there's other failsafes in place to keep you safe.
As for the resort ERTs, Dragster doesn't open for them. It opens with the park (and sometimes, even later) *** Edited 5/28/2006 12:31:52 AM UTC by kirk06***

Their sping loaded anyways. But yeah if they were to somehow fail, there's soooo many of them that youd still have enough to bring you to a full stop. Having experienced a rollback for the first time on Opening day (first train of the season btw!!!:)) I hope you get a chance to experience one too, it's awsome!!.
Taipan, I sent you a CP summary that I send to every first timer. It has some pointers and what not. Hope it helps.:)

As far as safe goes, Skyride is one of the safest in the park, actually.
Unless the ride opp forgets to close the door ;)
Or they forget to look behind them.;)
Seriously though it almost happened to a ride op when the cabin(or whatever it's called) I was in came in the station. He litteraly turned just in time before it plowed him! We yelled at him before it hit him. It was a close call.

Have a great trip. Make sure you buy a picture of yourself riding TTD and MF so you can brag to your friends back home.

Imagine your favorite tv show. You've been through it all. The ups, the downs, the crazy coincidences and then bang! They tell you what it's all about. Would you be happy? Does it make sense? How come it all ended in a church? - Joker
Yeah, when I worked Sky Ride we would get bored and play around and make it look like we were going to get hit by the cabins, eventhough we knew where they were at all times.
Open doors suck.
Can you send that to me Adam? I would appreciate having one too.
I'm going June 21-22. I thought I was going far from South NJ but Australia is far. Have a great time!

Come to think of it, I remember him saying "I knew you were there" when we said "We almost got you there".
Turbo Jaw, I sent you my summary. You're the third person today that I've sent it too.:) *** Edited 5/28/2006 2:41:16 AM UTC by TTD 120mph***

The other fun thing to do was go 'wazzzaaah?' since most people don't pay attention and aren't ready for it.
Management put a kabosh on that one though. (And probably rightly so)
