Virtual Midway and another stunning set...

48 new photos have been posted of the "Mystery Attraction." These are the most stunning photos as of yet. The second to last new photo really shows just how massive this thing is! It almost looks unreal, and it definitely stands out!

Wow. Very nice (as always).

Hey Walt, just wondering... what is your bandwidth usage for this month? heh

Is it really that big!? Something doesn't look right.
is it just my eyes, or does it seem that those white supports up now don't seem to line up with the tower pullout...but it looks to be just right (or left) of the actual pullout. or maybe i'm just not looking at it right.

are there any other sites besides vm that might have updated pics?
Probably not. Walt lives pretty close to the park so he can take pics every Friday when he goes. Then he updates them on Saturday. I think he should win the Coaster's Choice award for best website. :)

mk468zz,

It's not just your eyes. Those white supports definitely don't line up with the main tower. I suppose they could be for the brake run, but the track connects on them seem a bit too angled for that.

However, it's probably worth mentioning that Xcelerator's brake run is awfully steep and long itself...

i bet those white supports are lined up with the yellow support tower. there just happens to be a huge gap between the white and yellow supports.
Juppy, they still haven't put up the two long suports that connect at the base of the tower, that would take up that space.

Also the side towards MF seems o be agnleing towards magnum a slight bit. [like Xcelerator]

but even if you visualize those, i agree with logan--it doesn't look like it adds up. the perspective of the photos makes it look like those white supports don't line up. i think they're for something else, but maybe its just the way the picture is angled.

Actually, the evening light on Friday isn't good enough to take reasonable photos. Those shots are all from today.

No, the tan supports definitely line up with the main tower. It's just the perspective of the photos that makes it seem otherwise. I saw it from many different angles today and I can assure you that they line up. The question is, though, will that side be the pullup or pullout?

By the way, CP_bound said: "The second to last new photo really shows just how massive this thing is! It almost looks unreal...". Umm... it really does look unreal! Walt, is that an actual photo?

I saw our photo god yesterday at the park, but he wouldn't give me his autograph, he told me I should be home hitting my refresh button waiting for new pics. ;)

and why, exactly? do we really need even more photos of the exact same thing, when we already have 100s from other websites? i think this thing is pretty well covered.
