Has anyone out there ever done the VIP Experience? $400 seems like a lot at first, but I think you could get in 50-100 rides jumping to the front for 8 hours. Seems like a reasonable deal for those of us who rarely get to visit or just hate waiting. It could be extra cool if you got a really great tour guide...though it could really be awful if you got one that just didn't care. I wonder if you could just stay on a ride since you can just get back to the front or do you have to go down the exit ramp and then back up again?
I'd love to hear some opinions/reviews.
Here's the only review I've seen. Tim did a good job of covering all the bases of a review.

VIP guests are asked to wait a cycle between rides so as to be fair to those guests still waiting in line.

Nope, he's still around. Go check the thread announcing the launch of the new PointBuzz for more information.

This is perfect! Answered every question I had! Thanks!
Seems they made changes to limit the VIP to 8 hours, as well as giving the host a break to eat something.

Yes, the VIP tour will be 8 hours and there will be an hour break in there, not only for the guide to get a break, but the VIP also.(this hour is not taken from the 8 hour tour) It's a great way for die-hard fans, not just famous people, to get a tour of the park. And an added bonus, you're VIP experience will be given by yours truly...me. I will be your guide through the park, so sign up and do it, we also do it during halloweekends where you get front of the line for haunted houses as well and a few other things.

^^ Obviously I don't know you personally, but seeing you work as a Screamster, you should be a lot of fun for groups as a VIP guide. Someone who has a lot of enthusiasm & knowledge of the park. But are you going to miss being a Screamster? I guess you could grab the trash can quick during your hour break :)
And you don't get to park in the Marina lot anymore either.

Ride on, MrScott!
Actually, a lot of celebrity guests (or, at least the ones I saw memos for) would park inside the employee gate over by DT and Space Spiral. There's your random fact for the day. ;)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I won't have to miss scaring people....I will still be doing it. But no trash can, Mr. Giggles will be back to take it back, I will be doing something a little more different this year.

I really missed Giggles, but you did a good job of keeping the trashcan warm for him.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Zeek, does that mean they only do one VIP per day? Or, are there more people working as guides?
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
There are a handful of VIPs each day. I will also be a VIP tour guide on the weekends. Between Zeek and I, it will be a great experiance for everyone!

I feel like I'm the only Screamster who's not doing VIP tours this summer. :)

I will let you take me on a guided tour this summer. But I don't know about calling me a VIP. I think I could be classified as just an IP:)
Interesting..the changes seem to be good and bad. The eight hour limit is good for the guides, along with the one hour guaranteed break..although I bet there will be a lot of VIPs who are going to make sure they get their full eight hours in to make it seem like they got their money's worth. But that is still a lot better to get out by 7pm (if they start at 10am) rather than 10pm.. or if they don't start til later you get to sleep in a little.
I also have a feeling the tips for you guides this year won't be as much..except for the really rich people who might only stay for 4-5 hours and still fork over a wad of cash. But there won't be anymore 10am to 10pm open to close crazy tours where its 100 degrees and they only give you a half hour break the whole day, and then give you a nice tip for hanging in there.
You guys are gonna have a great time this year..it was definitely the most fun I've had at Cedar Point. There may be a few days where you don't feel like riding, but I still can't wait to get back on Maverick, Dragster, Millennium and Gemini after riding them a million times last year.
Do you know how many guides were hired this year? Last year there were basically four regulars, with a couple others as backups.
