Violent Space Spiral Swaying?

No I didn't. I said someone told me that. Reading & you.

I went yesterday and it did not seem to be swaying anymore than usual.

The wind was pretty nasty most of the weekend. I've never heard the cables banging on the structure as loudly as they were Friday and Saturday nights. Space Spiral was closed almost all weekend, I assume due to the wind. If it seemed to be swaying a lot, it's probably because the heavy counterweight was at the top of the tower. I'm surprised they didn't leave it parked in the middle, but I believe that the standard procedure is to have the cabin lowered while the park is open.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Whats the reason for parking it when the park is open?

^ Probably so guests don't freak out thinking it is "stuck".

It was down yesterday, never saw it running all day. We were going to ride it just for the heck of it, but the entrance was chained off.

Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast

We heard the cables banging and it was just like a giant flag pole in the wind, but much louder, kinda freaky. I can't remember which night it was. Never heard that before. I'm sure it has happened many many times before, high winds in NWOH are pretty much normal, not the exception. We didn't see the swaying though, it was dark. She was running Sunday if I recall correctly. Lambast me now if I am wrong. Thank you! :)

I saw it running yesterday around 4ish. There was a decent line for it too.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
