I know most of you were not born yet, but cack in the mid 70s, I distinctly remember a ride height sign of a little boy with blonde hair with bangs that covered his eyes, and you only saw his nose and mouth, He was wearing the Cedar Point red shirt, with blue pants, and if memory serves, white sneakers. I am going back 50 plus years, so it has been a LONG time. This was placed at the entrance to all the rides that had height restrictions. Instead of having a height stick like what Walt has posted in the Photos>Historical>Ride Character Signs section, he had his arm stuck out and a pointing finger. The artwork was kind of similar as what the later one was, whereas it was cartoonish and over the top. Does any old timers (pun intended) remember these? More importantly, Does anyone have a picture or a home video clip? I would love to see it again.
Sorry I can't be of much help with your search, but you seem to have jogged my 63 year-old memory cells with this. I can visualize the character as you described it very well. Back then the biggest, fastest, most thrilling coaster was Blue Streak.
Same. I seem to remember that little guy, but only kinda sorta.
It would be hard to see this season but maybe they had an example of him as part of Melt’s measuring stick character museum.
I am by NO MEANS an artist, never claimed to be, and never played one on TV, but this is the best I can do from a 50 plus year old memory..... As I mentioned, blonde (yellow) hair. Blue shorts white tennis shoes. If I remember correctly shirt was red, but it may have been red and white striped as well.
I found this:

Zoom in on the picture next to Wildcat Ride Facts. I can’t figure out how to past a photo from my iPad, else I’d paste a zoomed-in image. The sign isn’t quite how it’s described, but our memories of such things are often a bit different from reality.
