VERY UPSET!! WEATHER!! PLEASE ANSWER!!

OK, how does CP deal with the weather? I will be there weds, thurs, fri. Do all the rides close down or what? Please feel free to give me a ride by ride average shutdown. I am travelling over 8 hours to go to CP for 3 days and I am praying. The weather channel is showing 3 days of showers.

Well I'm not a pro at this but usually all of the coasters will close down with rain(including the indoor) I think most of the others rides stay open. Sorry.

This past weekend would be considered by some to be a "washout" However, most rides were running most of the day on Saturday and Sunday. Plus the rain kept the crowds away.

I've said this before - very, very few days are ever a complete washout due to rain.

I've been to Cedar Point when it is raining and they keep Raptor and Mantis open. Employees told me that they were designed for rain. When lighting is coming, that is when they shut down the rides.

I went on saturday and it was raining pretty bad, no thunder or lighting, the only thing that was closed was the gemini and blue streak, everything else, inclueding MF and Magnum was open, wow riding MF and Magnum in the rain really gets ya wet, and it stings! It's really a cool ride!!!!

I went on Saturday also, and I didn't see any rides not operating. I must have rode all the rides at the right time. The lines were very short, except MF which was an 1 1/2 wait. Raptor was 30-40 Minutes as was Mantis. Magnum was 15-20 minutes.
