VertiGo: What if.....

If Cedar Fair chose to keep their Vertigo rides after the collapse, would anyone still ride it? If you know enough about it, in what mode?

I would undoubtedly still ride it, but unfortunately the possibility of bringing it back has been ruled out by all the higher-ups.

On a semi-related note, is SFMM still operating its Thrill Shot? (same thing as VertiGo)

I wish I could say yes, but I truly have no clue. I have plans for going there in July, but all I can do is hope.

If Vertigo was put back up and running, I'd get on it ASAP. Unfortunetly it won't be. :(

That is the one ride that scared the pants off of me, but I loved it. And yes, I would ride it if they put it back. I agree with the others that it isnt coming back.

SFMM's vertigo is not operating at the moment, but it should be retrofitted. Seems like SFMM's policy to have as many pay per rides as possible, and oddly they all seem to be located in the same area (Ham on rye, trampolene, thrill shot, go carts, tons of games, and sky coaster).

How about the one at Knott's Berry Farm? Should they have gotten rid of that? Either way, I would have riden either one in a heartbeat.

Speedy, I don't think SFMM having all their pay for rides in one place is odd. Look at CP. Their Rip Cord, mini golf, go carts, and vertigo (RIP) were all in the same location just outisde the park gates.

I would be the first in line. My first ride on it would be in Big Bang mode, and my second would be a Big Bang Plus, for the insane air at the top. There was nothing better than being upside down a hundred feet above Magnum's first hill and screaming myself hoarse. Oh man, I would've got so many more rides on it if I had known that it wasn't going to be back in '02.

Is Thrill Shot just like it? I'm starting to get my hopes up here......

Vertigo here is still on Knotts property.

Once everything gets settled between S&S/Cedar Fair, then you will see Vertigo go away to Utah.
