We are so lucky! The tower had a 2/4 chance of hitting Magnum, either the small tunnerl or it's lift hill. Jeez....

I guess I can still feel cool to say that I have been on that ride!

If an S&S attraction falls, and no one is around, does it make a sound?

Can ytou see the part of the tower on the ground?

That looks below the bolt mounts based on the 100 or so pics I've got sitting in front of me.. Hopefully it's just the angle of the shot..

Wow..watching those towers bend always freaked me out last season, so I can only imagine how I'm going to feel seeing them bend if they have it up and running again..in the meantime, should we call it "HorizontiGo"?

Me thinks that some crazy smoker did this so that we would have something new to talk about on here :-)

And if they didn't sway.. they would snap... Obviously a lot of people here have no concept of engineering or metal stress factors.

I can't believe this, but for the first time I look at Magnums lift and think to myself "it really isn't that tall".  Not to long ago I use to think it was super high.  Goes to show you how far we have come since Magnum.

I'd be angry if the tower hit the Magnum. That was lucky. But it was still unlucky that it broke at all.

I was waiting for someone to say what Duane just said above..I dodn't have the heart to tease poor Rob..Way to go Duane ;)

That answer is easy...NO.

The act of the tower falling obviously created some kind of noise, but sound is different. Sound is the interpretation of noise by your brain.

I guess I have been paying attention in physics. :)

Vertigo already screwed Magnum once by ruining Magnum riders' feeling of height, it was common decency not to screw Magnum again by falling on it!
