I would like to see vending Machine's THAT WORK!!! It was getting really rough with the hot crowd on MF today. Around 6pm ALL 8 or so of them stopped accepting dollar bills! Hardly anyone had $2 in change. People were not happy...but the employees did let people get out of line, go to the start of the line, buy, and get back in there own place, which was nice.

I think the problem with the pop machines in line for MF was that they were filled to their capacity with $1 bills! They need to probably empty the money more often.
On a similar note, did anyone who rode notice the amount of garbage overflowing toward the evening from the garbage cans in line?

Did someone say the vending machine price is still $2/bottle this season?
Given what I heard about last season's experiment I'm not surprised, but considering what Kings Island did this year, maybe I should be.
On the other hand, I was just at Holiday World, so now I'm spoiled...

Maybe your right. Now that I think about it, Maybe it was from Pittsburg or something. That was the worst plane ride I have ever had and I have ridden commuters from 6 to 50 passengers or so. Come to think about it again, my destination WAS Harrisburg from Columbus,Ohio. Sorry for the lapse of memory;)

As far as soda at PKI goes, I'll just go with my friend back into the employee locker rooms. Bottles of soda there are 75 cents. Cheapest drink in the park, other than water.
The machines on the Gemini midway were being stupid at about 5 pm. They wouldn't take more than one bill, and I only had $1.95 in with the change I had! I was going to get it there for the walk back to Raptor, but I had to wait until we got ALL the way back there and got halfway in the line. But it was all good, since we got in two flights in less than an hour, one front row, baby, yeah!
Do these pop machines prices go up with warmer weather or is that only coke machines??

Everyone who was with me yesterday attempted to get something to drink from the vending machines in MF's line about 8:30, but the two machines that weren't sold out would not accept dollar bills. We had to use exact change.

Just imagine how much money CP is making off these vending machines. The cost of a bottle of pepsi is well under a dollar and water even less! So figure it from there, and for the people who want coke, it's not going to happen, at least for several years yet. In 91 i was sure sad to see coke go because pepsi out bid them. I believe in 98 they had to bid again and you can see who is still there.

Personally I wouldn't want to eat before this ride :)
But soon enough you would see our lovely little wagons around MF selling burgers to refreshments for all of you that are willing to wait hours in line.

Maybe a dramamine machine would be a nice touch.
I give anybody permission to shoot me if I ever pay $2 for a bottle of carbonated sugar water or plain water for that matter. I just make sure to fill up at a water fountain before getting in a long line. Never had a problem yet with needing a bathroom, hot days just sweat most of it out of ya!
